This is strange

Loved this felt bad in the first book for the hero but learned he is an amazing person. Read it to find out why.

Awesome!

Had me very enthralled. I was sucked into this story just like the previous ones. I felt I was there. Had my heart racing and I was actually scared from all the sound effects. Loved it!

Weirdly cool

The only time I stopped listening was while I slept. This story had me interested from the beginning. I am going to start the next one when I finish this.

Disappointing

Disappointing. Great story, great performance... Overused F word and inappropriate use of the R word.

INTERESTING STORY, BUT...

Enjoyed the story...will probably continue with the series, but the narrator leaves a lot to be desired, in my opinion. And his characterization of the female lead, Shelley...YIKES. I really have a problem with the narrator with her...the other characters are fine, but his narration of her really grated on my nerves. The narration of this story could have been so much better.

Awful Narration

The story itself was ok, not my favorite book but I feel it would have been better if I read it myself. The narration was awful, especially SHELLY. The voice for her was reminiscent of Dane Cooks "Screw guys I just want to dance", and I was thoroughly annoyed by it. Why did he make her so snotty? I wanted someone to slap her, but I know its not the books fault it was the reader. I almost stopped listening just for that alone. The rest of the voices weren't too bad but there were clearly only a few that could be done and a lot of them repeated. Book 2 was by far my favorite of the group. I couldn't finish the 3rd one, it lost my interest fast.

The stories were ok and the performance wasn't awful just left me wanting more I guess.

Book 1 was amazing!

When I first got this series on Audible, I was looking for a good ghost series. I love some good scary books that can keep my attention as I love to listen to books as I work. It makes me super productive. Boy did I score on this point! The beginning of this book really threw me for a loop. I was actually hesitant at first because of the beginning. DO NOT LET THE BEGINNING STOP FROM YOU FROM LISTENING TO THIS BOOK! The beginning of this book opens up to an amazing story, amazing characters, and an amazing world of paranormal. Do not get me wrong. It is not a documentary. It is a book of characters, paranormal, and all the goodies that go bump in the night. OK just kidding on the “bump in the night”. It is not that kind of paranormal. It is a great story though. I am SO excited to start book 2. I am SO happy that book 1 was so long. (I do not know how long book 1 was from an audio point of view. I did not even look. It feels like it lasted a good amount of time and I love that!!!). I honestly feel that it covered the story in the perfect time frame. I do not feel it was rushed or drug out at all. All the elements were covered, and I did not feel that anything was left unanswered. I give this book a SOLID 5 stars hands down. Now, you have no excuse at all not to read/listen to this book! It is GREAT!
