Publisher's Summary

Cocky football players, school rivalry, and the girls who get in their way. Get ready.... The Raiders are back for one final play!

Mya Hernandez has scars

The kind that run deep and leave marks.

Rixon is only supposed to be a temporary place to hide, but it's quickly becoming something more.

She's almost certain it has nothing to do with the blond-haired, blue-eyed football player who makes her laugh. Who makes her believe in fairy tales again.

Even if she knows her life is destined to be nothing more than a tragedy.

Asher Bennet has secrets.

Not the scandalous kind, but the ones that fester, slowly eating away at your soul.

On the face of it, he's Mr. Popular, always down for a party and causing a little mayhem.

But on the inside, he just wants someone to see him. Really see him. Too bad the one girl who sees past his facade has already friend-zoned him.

It's probably for the best, though.

She's different.

A fighter.

She's everything he wants but can never have.

Until Mya's past and Asher's present collide in ways neither of them saw coming.

And suddenly the thing you need most is the very thing you’re supposed to hate.

The Harder You Fall is the third book in The Rixon Raiders series. All books in this series can be read as standalones!

Fantastic story, superb narrators

This series is one of my favorites, Asher and Mya's story is one you need to read. Asher has his own secrets, Mya ran from her hometown to get herself a better future. Their chemistry is off the charts but she doesn't want to get herself involved in a relationship, yet Asher wants her and so he doesn't hide it. This series finale is perfect, I just want more. This is one you will find yourself re-reading in the future. I am a big Rixon Raiders fan and I suggest you read them all and join us. The narrators did a superb job narrating this book, Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross are on my top favorite list of narrators and this is why.

What a great ending to the Trilogy

I was hesitant to listen to book 3, usually trilogies lose their appeal by the third book. Mia and Ashers love story is one that I fell deeply in love with. He didn't care what everyone said about Mia, he loved her and that's what mattered. Listening to him stand up to his Dad finally and following love moved me to tears. This might have been my most favorite out of the Trilogy!

Great narrative
Mya has not had a easy life and is ready to start over. Asher is a football player who's the life of the party. When they meet Asher knows he has to have her. They are opposites in so many ways but are alike in others. Will these two make it work with all the drama thay follows? Will there be a HEA?

amazing

Mya moves away from her life of crime, violence, gangs and drugs to live with her aunt in the small town of Rixon. She finds it hard to fit in, being one of the 4% of the minority students.
This is Ash and Mya story. Mya made fast friends with 2 girls whose boyfriends are on the football team. Mya, the girl with bouncy curls, dark brown eyes, and caramel skin, caught the eye of Ash. It didn't matter to him, who she was, where she was from. He knew something was special about her and wanted to know her better. Her troubled past comes to the small town, which causes danger to her and Ash. Will Ash ever forgive her for what happened?
This is a story of Mya taking an opportuity, to accomplish something out of life. To prove it to herself and others that given the chance to overcome living in a bad situation to make life better.
Wen Ross and Sarah Puckett are excellent narrators. They each portrayed each character at their strongest, weakest and most vulnerable moments.

EPIC romance!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS

Asher just stole my heart! I'm sad that this is the final book in the Rixon Raiders series, but L.A. Cotton ended it with a story that will give you all the feels. I love how Mya was a fierce and loyal friend; especially how deeply she loved Asher despite her attempts at trying to not fall for him.

"This didn't feel like going slow. It felt like falling recklessly and hopelessly into each other, giving no thought to how hard we might crash."

The narration was spot on...I just love Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross was another top-notch narrator. I'm glad I got to see quite a bit of the other characters from series, from Hailey and Cam to Felicity and Jase, Mya's "fairy sexmother". LOVE IT!!! Not only is this book EPIC, but the series as a whole...so be sure to get your copy! The Harder You Fall by L.A. Cotton will absolutely join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

More than 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Mind blown!🤯 Asher & Mya’s story will have you so emotionally invested. The push and pull of their desire will have you all in your feels. These two couldn’t be more wrong for each other in a world that only sees black and white but a heart knows no color. ❤️❤️ The heart wants what the heart wants!

When Myas past catches up with her and threatens the possibility of having more than she ever thought was possible she is left with the turmoil of having to learn the lesson of leaving the past in the past and moving on. That putting herself and her needs first is what will get her the future she so deserves.

In the wake of tragedy Asher has to face the iron fist that his father has always laid out. Secrets get revealed and emotions and truths brought to the surface. Making the right decision has never been so tough.

Be ready for one emotional rollercoaster that will leave you breathless!

Bittersweet

This being the final OG (original three raiders) book of the series is bittersweet. Asher and Mya are my fave couple and the journey they endured to get their hea was epic. This is hands down my favourite raider book. The narrators did a great job bringing the story to life. 5 plus star read al around!

Excellent narration

This is the third book in the series, and while it could technically be read/listened to as a stand alone, I recommend starting at the beginning of the series so that you can get the full character experience. I definitely like the book more because I started at the beginning of the series. I also recommend reading/listening to the 4th book in the series (The Endgame is You) because it does a great job of showing the characters after high school.

I listened to the audiobook. Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross are consistently amazing with their performances.

Mr Popular! Love him😍

Asher has been my fave since the beginning. I enjoyed his staking claim on Mya. Mya has her past demons coming close. Asher has some of his own, his father is so tough to love. This story revolves around family problems and both Mya and Asher are coming to terms with their realities. School is almost over and they are taking different routes. Will they hold? This was a great ending of the series. The three couples as mismatched as they may seem, were awesome. The narration: on point!

I wasn’t sure about this book going into it but I think it might be my favorite so far. I love the characters in this series and the story is touching. Asher and Mya

I love Asher and Mya and their angsty love story. This book dealt with racism a lot. It was emotional and full of suspense and drama. It held my attention from the beginning all the way until the end. Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross are two of my favorite narrators and, as always, did a wonderful job bringing this story to life.

Brilliant Story & Narration🎧Gripping & Heartfelt!

I loved everything about this book, from L A Cotton’s wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines she created to the perfectly casted narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. I also loved the first two book of the series and it is great to back in Rixon for Asher Bennet and Mya Hernandez’s story, it is also great to see the characters from the earlier books too. Mya came to Rixon to live with her Aunt, she needed to leave the city and her old life behind, for her own good and safety. Her ex was getting caught up with the local gang and it put her in danger. Ash has been one of my favorite characters in this series, so it was great to learn how much there is to him. Starting a new school was not easy for Mya but she was paired with Felicity and with Hailee they became quick friends. Ash and Mya clicked but Mya was not looking to get involved with anyone, so they agreed to be friends, Ash was not giving up on her though. I loved these two together, they were great for each other and the chemistry between them was electric. He opened up to her and she to him, the two come from completely different worlds and each had issues and drama going on but they understood each other and what they were going through. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted and there is never a dull moment, in addition to the drama, there is some angst, some thrilling & suspenseful moments with Mya’s past, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and some great romance. L A Cotton does a great job touching on race issues and prejudices. Mya and Ash is the perfect example that the only thing that matters is what is in the heart. Thank you for the wonderful story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross continue to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on, sounding just as I picture them to sound. Sara Puckett played a K.A and fierce Mya. Wen Ross’ Ash was perfection, he brought out another side of him. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters emotions and projected them in to their performance. These two mega talented narrators are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Rixton Raiders.

This has probably been the deepest book in the Rixton Raiders series so far and deals with some very emotive subjects. We see racism in many different forms. Mya is one of the 4%. That is the amount of people that are not white in the school. When Mya and Ash become close they have to deal with more than any young couple should.
Ash is one of the revered Rixton Raiders and comes from a rich family. Mya is the Latina recent transfer from a dangerous neighbourhood, staying with her aunt for a safe fresh start. While Mya dealt with racism from the moment that she set foot in Rixton, it increased by an alarming amount once she and Ash are connected.
As if that wasn't enough, there are a whole lot of other things that these two and their friends face.
This is, at times, an intense listen but it was a really good story and well worth listening to.
I would say that this has a medium steam factor so definitely NSFW.
The narration is exemplary and in keeping with the rest of the series, Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross bring the story to life.

Asher takes the top spot!

After reading Game I moved straight on to Harder because I was desperate to hear more about Asher, and Mya's background and secrets. As always with Cotton's series, the storyline blended seamlessly from the end of Game.

As usual with the Rixon gang, Asher & Mya's relationship wasn't always smooth sailing but I was rooting for the pair of them, as they both had so much stacked against them. There are revelations and quite a bit of drama (the best yet I think - or the worst? It's hard to say without giving too much away!) which of course had me hanging on for more and wondering which way the story was going to go!

Previously Cameron had staked his place as my favourite Raider, but Asher barely had to put up a fight to take the top spot.

I think this is my favourite of the series so far (I think part of it being set around Christmas may have helped lol!), but one more to go!...

Where do I start!
I absolutely loved this book. It transported me away into it’s pages. The first two books were wonderful, but this one, just blow me away. Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross narrated perfectly and was the icing on the cake. I binged listened and already miss it. This is a really good listen.

4th book just announced 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Let’s here it one last time.....
Who are we? Raiders
And what are we? Family
And what are we gonna do? Win
🏈🏈🏈

Well this book certainly won me over, not that it needed to mind you because the last 2 books where amazing and had me hooked on the series. Book 1 Asher is a player on and off the field. He’s the best friend anyone would want, hes rich, throws party’s in his massive house, will keep your secrets and has your back no questions asked but in book 3 there’s more to Asher than meets the eye. He’s hiding a big secret and all is not what it seems for the privileged rich boy of the group. Asher has a crush on Flick, but he realises that she only has eyes for his best friend Jason and has been friend zoned. Then he meets Mya.....

In Book 2 we where introduced to Mya, the girl from Philly who hid herself in Rixon to get away from her ex boyfriend after he joined a gang and she got hurt when he was attacked. she knew she didn’t want that life but having loved Jermaine since they where little that cord was hard to cut. Since moving to Rixon and befriending the 2 girls who where dating the Captain and the star wide receiver in Raiders football team boys where the last thing on her mind, in fact all she wanted to do was to slide under the radar until Asher........but that’s the thing about the past, sometimes it comes back to bite and you can’t hide from it forever and Jermaine is not giving up just yet with devastating consequences!!!!
