Hugely overstated title?

What disappointed you about The Hacking Bible: The Dark Secrets of the Hacking World?

Translated from another language by a non English speaker? The narrator did fine but what he had to read was broken English. I believe the writer has plenty of knowledge of the subject but he spent more time than needed on a cursory history of hacking. He stayed on the lower levels and just didn't go deep or detailed.

What could Kevin James have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I would have preferred Kevin had jumped in to the tech sooner and deeper.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator did fine with what he had to work with, unless he would have corrected the wording and grammar as he read.

The Ctr Alt Del Version of Hacking

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Absolute beginners.

Has The Hacking Bible: The Dark Secrets of the Hacking World turned you off from other books in this genre?

No

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Kelly Rhodes?

No

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Hacking Bible: The Dark Secrets of the Hacking World?

Cut nothing. This book needed more detailed information and less common knowledge.

Any additional comments?

This is a basic guide on how hacking works. Nothing new if you keep up on Defcon or Black Hat talks on Youtube. You're better off saving your money and spending your time playing with Metasploit and learning how Python works.
