When a time-worn guitar believed to have once belonged to the legendary Robert Johnson is discovered, it sets off a chain of events that will unravel the darkest secrets of music history. Ethan, an autistic man with a unique connection to AI technology, unlocks the ability to relive the haunting moments tied to the guitar’s past. As he taps into its memories, he discovers that every musician who touched it—Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse and many more—was part of a tragic fate: each had sold their soul to the devil, paying the ultimate price at the age of 27.

Now, armed with the power to travel back in time, Ethan faces an impossible choice: can he change the past and save one of these iconic figures from their tragic end? But with every action, Ethan learns that altering history comes with consequences—ones that threaten not only the past but the very fabric of the present.

A gripping tale of music, fate, and the dangerous allure of rewriting history, The Guitar is a journey into the heart of darkness, where every decision could mean the end of everything we know. Will Ethan be able to save a legend without losing everything?

Enjoyed Wood’s take on how the journey of one guitar through history helped shape the music world as we know it, and with today’s technology, could change it.

Fun mix of past and present.

Story was definitely different, which was nice. Starting with Robert Johnson and going through a variety of musicians in their histories was interesting and then it took a nice turn into AI and other things. I did think it sucked that it’s more than one book! And… This narrator was a poor selection. She could not even hold a tune, and I think she’s tone deaf! When she was trying to sing excerpts from songs that everyone knows by famous musicians, she completely obliterated and killed them so you could not even recognize what she was singing!

Interesting story! 🙌…But the narration was poor.🫩
