The Guest Aboard the Carpe Diem

What was supposed to be a dream life at sea soon turns into a nightmare when an unexpected guest arrives on the Carpe Diem.

Mason and Olivia trade their lives on land for a new journey at sea. Mason was thrilled to begin his retired years on the houseboat he worked so hard to obtain. Though Olivia felt uneasy about their new quest, she was happy to support her husband’s biggest dream.

The morning after throwing a boat warming party, the couple wake to an unknown guest sleeping on the sofa. He claims to be a friend of a friend from the party, but something unsettling keeps tugging at Olivia. When the young man asks to crash a few more nights, Mason welcomes his company; he reminds him so much of his estranged son.

Soon days turn into weeks and tension builds. A fed-up Olivia becomes stern and makes it clear that the guest has overstayed his welcome. But the guest will not bow out gracefully. When he shows dangerous intent, Olivia realizes that he may be there to stay, for good.

The couple’s perfect life goes adrift as Olivia fights for the truth. Is the guest really who he claims to be? Or is there a more sinister plan at play?
