Publisher's summary

The ultimate mystery, adventure, and romance by USA Today best-selling author Jacquie Biggar!

Can two lost souls stop a madman?

Lucas Carmichael and Scott Anderson had it all - money, fame, and fortune. But one night's stupid mistake takes everything they thought they cherished and dumps it upside down.

A car accident ends Lucas' life and leaves Scott injured and bitter.

As the local ME, Tracy York, investigates the case, discrepancies begin to point to more than a simple drunk-driving incident.

When threats are made to Tracy's life, can Scott and his guardian angel, Lucas, protect her? Or will she become another casualty of a crazed madman?

Paranormal romance

Paranormal romances are not my normal genre to read. I did however like this book & the performance was good.

Healing and New Beginnings!

Lucas is driving home Scott, his best friend, and Natalya, his best friend’s sister, home when he crosses the line and not only do Scott and Natalya pass away so does the driver of the other car he hit.

Scott is trying to live with consequences of the crash and understand why it happened as he knows he wasn’t drunk but will Tracy, the medical examiner to be able to prove it.

As they investigate nothing is as it appears, and someone doesn’t want the truth revealed. With the help of their guardian angel, Lucas, who is facing a battle of his own, will they be able to uncover the truth before they become the next victims?

I enjoyed the book and it definitely has you considering the possibilities of the afterlife. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook from the author.

Unique plot that you won't see coming!

The book starts with a car crash and death, so it is full of surprises from the get-go. Then there are angels, including one unlikely and sarcastic movie star angel who is given a chance to redeem himself on earth. And there is mystery and intrigue as someone is out to threaten and kill people. I liked the characters, including the female medical examiner who cannot believe that she is finding romance in her scientific world. And there is a cute kid and an injured dog to boot. Overall, an enjoyable, romantic and suspenseful audio-book with good narration. Ends in a bit of a cliffhanger.
