Publisher's summary

Heather and Picket are extraordinary rabbits with ordinary lives until calamitous events overtake them, spilling them into a cauldron of misadventures. They discover that their own story is bound up in the tumult threatening to overwhelm the wider world.

Kings fall, and kingdoms totter. Tyrants ascend, and terrors threaten. Betrayal beckons, and loyalty is a broken road with peril around every bend.

Where will Heather and Picket land? How will they make their stand?

LOVED by our whole family!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

We highly recommend this audiobook. It's a great story of family and courage. Joel Clarkson's performance is very fitting. Definitely one we will listen to many times. Thoroughly enjoyed by this family of 2 adults and children ages 12,5, and 2!

Any additional comments?

We listened to this book together in the car and around the dinner table. Great entertainment for the whole family!

Beautiful story

We listened to this on a long trip. Not only did our 7 and 9 year olds fall in love with the story line but so did the adults. We cannot wait to read the continued story!!! The themes of forgiveness, redemption and love gripped us. Well done!!! - the Newcomb clan

Sweet but powerful

I listened to this to see if I would like to share with my grandchildren at some point, and I definitely will. Engaging characters, a story that's intense but not too scary and themes that transcend the framework of the story itself. Loved it so much. Can't wait till my little ones are big enough!

A Book for Generations!

I am 52 years old, and I could not put this book down! The tale was full of unexpected turns, intense adventure, edge of your seat battles, and descriptions of a beautiful world I want to see. The narrator, Joel Clarkson, draws you into the story with his many voices and accents and the skill of Rob Inglis of The Lord of the Rings and you feel like you are totally in the story seeing it unfold. This will be played for all my grandchildren and will be on their bookshelves for many generations!

Great story. Engaged my young boys and girls!

Where does The Green Ember rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is my top pick for listening to with the kids.

What other book might you compare The Green Ember to and why?

Similar to the Narnia series. Does a good job of bringing you into the "world of animals" while also being very human.

Which scene was your favorite?

When the veil begins to be pulled back and you start to understand who has the Green Ember and its significance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved it when PickIt redeems himself.

excellent

the voice-actor got better as it went, but for the most part the read-through was a bit too quiet and reserved, almost monotonic.

Very enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this story. There were a few moments where it seemed like things needed to be explained a little more. The narrator wasn’t my favorite ever but did a good job. Looking forward to the next book!
