Publisher's Summary

The Chinese government has been keeping a secret for 40 years: they have found a species of animal no one believed even existed that will amaze the world.

Now the Chinese are ready to unveil their astonishing discovery within the greatest zoo ever constructed. A small group of VIPs and journalists has been brought to the zoo deep within China to see its fabulous creatures for the first time.

Among them is Dr. Cassandra Jane 'CJ' Cameron, a writer for National Geographic and an expert on reptiles. The visitors are assured by their Chinese hosts that they will marvel at these beasts, that they are perfectly safe, that nothing can go wrong....

Jurassic park with dragons....

I usually really enjoy this author but this book was not for me. Written well but it just felt a bit too much like Jurassic Park for me. I didn't really like the main female character either. Really good author but the subject was just not for me this time.

Just my opinion

I'm a fan of fast paced action and I've listened to a few of his books. Whilst the story is imaginative and filled with exciting chapters I was becoming agitated by his very simple use of description. A view of the area of the zoo was described as just "magnificent" or one of the creatures was simply "enormous" with not much else to fill my imagination with.

A terrifying roller-coaster ride.

A fresh and unique novel from a very talented writer. From the very first death it makes you want to explore the world of dragons.

Hic Sont Draconis

Not a knock off Jurrassic Park, it stands in it's own right as an action packed, soaring adventure that perfectly encapsulates a fantastical idea with a grounded reality.

That should’ve been a great book but it really wasn’t

I have listened to literally hundreds of books but this one I found quite tedious and I’m not sure if it was the narrator /writer or the book itself I never felt anything for any of the characters, the technology was subpar. took me over a week to listen to this book and I don’t feel like it was time well spent

So much potential

Yet sadly, it dosnt live up to it.

The concept along with the story itself is a good one, but it's just so poorly written, it fails miserably and at times cringy. There are numerous plot holes As Well that normally, I try to let slide, but they are just too glaring to ignore.
