House Democrats have introduced new legislation to create a commission to evaluate whether President Trump should be removed from office under the 25th Amendment. The proposal, led by New York Congressman Jamie Raskin, would establish a 17-member panel to assess whether the president is fit to carry out his duties. The Senate on Wednesday once again blocked a war powers resolution to restrain President Trump’s military action in Iran. This is the fourth time that Senate Republicans have blocked an attempt to limit Trump’s Iran war powers. The resolution, introduced by Democrat Senator Tammy Duckworth, failed in a 47-52 vote.
