Brassi will do whatever it takes to save her…and to discover if Vivian’s his mate.

Can't go wrong with Laurann Donner

I love all of Laurann Donner books. She is my go-to author. This book is no exception. I wish she used her previous narrators because they let you feel like you're in the story. You get lost in the world she builds, with the characters and their lives , so well that you forget that it's story. With this narrator, I struggled to lose myself in the story. I was always trying to figure out which character was speaking because they all sounded so similar and some times robotic or monotonal. It really detracted from the story, which is a shame. Still, the book was great.

Laurann Dohner is always a good read.

Get ready to cry, worry and smile with this wonderful story with a happy ending. Can’t wait to listen to next story. I wish Laurann had all her books in audible format!

I have read this entire series and absolutely love them! I have been waiting for them to come out on audio. I honestly wish that there were more books in the series. The narrator does a great job. And as always I love how Laurann Dohner delivers the story. Would love it if she would write a few more in the series.

Great Start

Great start to a new series! I’m excited about these new alien shifters and their mating practices. I liked how Brassel was right there to save our heroine so many times. Enjoyed the narration as well. I’ll be looking for the next audio book.

I fell in Love with the characters in this book. I am waiting on the edge of my seat for the next book in the series; it's taking too long.

looking forward to the rest of the series

Great start to the series but be forewarned, the rest of the series isn't available on audible so no binge listening. Thankfully this is a complete story, not a cliffhanger, I assume the next will be another couple's story. Great listen.

So good

Idk what it is about this particular alien romance, but it hits a sweet spot. I've listened to it more than once and it has all the right components. The perfect ratio of action, to romance, to pathos. I also appreciate how honest Vivian (h) is with Brassl (H), and how the worldbuilding is done through high quality, straightforward conversation and action. No miscommunication trope here. The only angst is from loss of the h's loved ones.

The only scene I didn’t love was during the sex talk. The couple started discussing logistics because of their physical differences, and h’s hang up about beastiality (and how it’s illegal 🙄) felt kinda provincial and hurtful. As if sleeping with your alien shifter mate (if there were such a thing) could possibly be considered that. And why should the ‘legality’ of wanting someone even be a concern light years from earth??? Anyway still love this book.

Unfortunately audible only has book 1 from this series.

Another great listen from this amazing author. If you're a fan of this genre you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended!
