What did you love best about The Golden Goblet?
My 10 year old reluctant reader son loved this book. I thought the narrator was great and I was happy to listen along. My son was disappointed it wasn't part of a series. The added plus was that it was educational and got him excited about Ancient Egypt. What was one of the most memorable moments of The Golden Goblet?
There are many exciting moments -- enough that it was too absorbing to listen to at bedtime. What does Charles Carroll bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Excellent narrator for both children and adults to listen to. There are unfamiliar names and places in the book, due to its setting in Ancient Egypt, and I could imagine my son being frustrated with that if he had to read it without benefit of the audio. As it was, the names were handled so naturally it wasn't a barrier.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It was a very uplifting book by the end.Suspense in Ancient Egypt -- Fun and Eudcational
