Twenty years running from your past. Today it catches up.

A gripping psychological thriller for fans of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train.

Leah Mills lives a life of a fugitive - kept on the run by one terrible day from her past. It is a lonely life, without a social life or friends until, longing for a connection, she meets Julian.

For the first time she dares to believe she can live a normal life. Then, on the 20th anniversary of that day, she receives a card. Someone knows the truth about what happened. Someone who won't stop until they've destroyed the life Leah has created. But is Leah all she seems? Or does she deserve everything she gets?

Everyone has secrets. But some are deadly.

Keeps you engaged !

story line keeps you engaged the entire time. that's not something I come across easily. Also the narrator is brilliant. she really brings the characters to life. I'd highly recommend this book for a series of twists and turns that leaves you guessing until the end.

What a great story

What started out slow became a thriller with twists and turns. I really thought that I figured it out but the last few chapters had me stunned. Definitely worth the money. 😀😀😀

Slow story and the end was a let down

I've really enjoyed other books I've read/listened to by this author, but I felt like this one was a bit slow and the ending was kind of a let down. I think it was worth the listen overall, but definitely not the "leave you on the edge of your seat" type of a story.

I felt like it took a long time to finally figure out what was going on (the story seemed to drag) and then it almost just ended. If you have nothing better to listen to, it's a good enough story, but I don't know if I would use a credit to purchase it again.

Worth the read!

Excellent book! It has a lot of character buildup and plot development. It is written in a way that slowly reveals each secret, so the reader is held in suspense throughout the whole book.

I liked it, but a little cheesy.

Honestly I liked this book and thought it was good, although not my favorite. It definitely kept me interested, but at times it got a little cheesy and unbelievable.

Exiting and unusual

This is not a normal mystery. It a thriller about a woman that has a terrible past. The story is told true present and flashbacks. Booth told chronological. The book is a little slow at the beginning but at the end I couldn’t put it down.

Leigh Mills - the girl who wants to lose her past

What made the experience of listening to The Girl with No Past the most enjoyable?

The book is really two books; one is Leigh's past and the other is Leigh's present. Each chapter relates to one of those periods; no two consecutive chapters related to the same period.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, the past is only revealed in small parts yet the past in total explains the present. Thus, as the author relates bits and pieces from the past, the reader begins to understand the present.

Have you listened to any of Lisa Coleman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but she is perfect for this book

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not so much moved but the next to the last chapter was somewhat of a surprise and somewhat mystifying. I don't want to reveal the plot but one wonders how she survived.
