Publisher's summary
Maeko only wants to protect the people she cares about. Somehow, that goal has taken her from living a life as a pickpocket on the streets of London trying to pay off her mum's debt, to becoming deeply enmeshed in rising hostilities between the Pirates and the Literati.

I busted out laughing at work at the view change
Pretty good character development and decent enough story and plot but what really made me love this series was the how the boys finally got their heads out of their asses and the change in character to everyone's favorite feline. That change was amazingly done. Got this recommended off a dating site by a friend of the author and it looks like I at least got a good book out of the short interaction.
