Publisher's Summary

The epic conclusion to The Boy & His Ribbon

"What do you do when you write down all your secrets? No...that's not enough. What do you do when you write down all your secrets and the one person who should never read them does? I'll tell you what you do. You hope."

Ren

Ren didn't know the meaning of love until he took Della for his own. To begin with, he hated her, but as the months bled into years, he learned the opposite of hate, dedicating his life to giving her everything. Every sacrifice, every gift, he gave wholeheartedly. But then love turned to lust and ruined everything.

Della

I was stupid to write down my secrets, but I'd been stupid before, so it was nothing new. I couldn't blame him, hate him, fix him. I tried to move on without him. But no matter what I did, I couldn't seem to delete the secrets I'd written. Until something happened. Until he came back and read my stupid secrets. And nothing was the same after that.

Somebody hold me

While I had no idea that this is where I would end up and I have no intention of ruining the story in any way for anyone else, I will say that this book is beautifully written in all ways. In book 1 Ren and Della were separated, in this book, they are brought back together and we are the conclusion of their story. Though hard and difficult to listen to in some places, it also was so perfect and so blindingly awesome.

Hayden and Will were perfection. Duet isn’t my favorite choice for narration, but they were flawless. Every transition was seamless. There were complications with the audio when I listened, but I just reverted to the book for the chapters that were missing. I know a lot of people wouldn’t be happy with that, so you may want to check and make sure those issues are solved before you start listening.

Great listen

I have listened to both books in this duet. The boy and his ribbon is the first book and the story concept caught my attention. Both are well written and the narration is fantastic. That being said, the story has a very sad undercurrent with the predictable sad ending.

So, if you require a happily ever after, this is not the book for you. It is gritty and angst. It’s a love story that works its way into your sole. I loved it and would recommend it highly

Well worth your credits for both books!

BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE!

Heartbreakingly brutal but realistic! A twisted and painful read/listen with a beautiful message, I think.

This turned out to be one of the most, gripping and enthralling stories I have read this year. The irony, I keep listening non-stop hoping for a miracle.

This story truly messed up with my mind and emotions from the very beginning. Once again, Author Pepper Winters delivers a very compelling and captivating story that touches the very depths of your soul, however in this case it will rip your heart out if you're not thinking realistically (in my defense, this was too close to home).

Nattators Will Watt and Hayden Bishop did an outstanding job in their performance!! JUST BRILLIANT!!

Perfection!

This story will make you feel. The heart ache and break. The ups and downs happy and sad. You will cry ugly tears and have a book hangover for sure. I loved this book. I am so happy this was a book about life.

Omg! My Heart!😢

There are a lot of emotions throughout this book some happy and some sad. I have to admit that I cried listening to it, but I love the overall message. I love how Pepper Winters makes you feel like you are in the moment by the way she writes. 😩 I’m sad, but such a great book.

ok

1st book was good. this one is good, but there is SOOOOO much discription on everything that it took forever to move on and I almost forget what they were talking about. I don't need 5 mins of telling me what something looks like and feels like.... But still a good story. Did s lot of skimming.

Best performance I’ve ever listened to. Oscar worthy.

Performance: A solid performance by both Hayden Bishop and Will Watt. They both bring this story to life. I especially liked when both characters were having a conversation. Their skills are unmatchable. Too boot it’s a dual performance with both performing. When I heard Will’s narration I kept picturing Matthew McConaughey. His tone and style was ideal for Ren’s character. Hayden’s narration was everything I would imagine Della sounding like.
I was no longer listening to Will and Hayden narrate Ren and Della I was listening to Ren and Della Wild share their love story.
These narrators deserve a standing ovation for their performances. Without them giving voice to these characters I wouldn’t have felt the type of emotional turmoil that Pepper wrote into these characters lives. Having a script is only one benefit for a good book. Add in good narrators whose voices sound so amazing that you can actually picture these characters as actors on a movie screen and you have yourself 5 Star read.
This was far better than I’d imagined. They performed better than the voices I created in my head while reading.

Story: Ren and Della return in this conclusion story about facing the past and moving forward into the future. Facing the past comes with accepting the various stages of love. A love that transcends the test of time, obstacles, and heartache.

Overall: These characters put my heart through the ringer. Pepper has a talent of stripping her characters raw. I can always count on Pepper to offer a sensational read full of heavy turmoil. Pepper has a way of crossing the lines between right and wrong in a very persuasive way. I can always count on Pepper to create raw and honest characters who are extremely passionate. Pepper set out for an unforgettable story and she achieved it.

If you are looking for an insatiable forbidden story with emotional and physical turmoil then I encourage you to read and listen to their story.
I’m drawn to the intensity of love, passion, and soul wrenching desire they share for each other. There story is wild just like their name.
Even though I sensed what was about to take place in the story, Pepper prepared me with an abundance of knowledge to help explain in detail what a reader needs to understand. Pepper gives her characters real life circumstances with ups and downs by easing into the news.

This audiobook was a welcome revisit to a book that I was hesitant to read at first. Ren and Della’s story wasn’t something I thought I needed. Then I talked myself into reading because it was Pepper Winters after all and couldn’t leave a story unread by her on my list.
When the audiobook was released I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on it. These narrators gave a performance of a lifetime. Between the writing and performance I applaud them all for a job well done.

An amazing story

I have to admit, that this book is one of the best that I have ever read and I have read a lot, over 500 books in my library. I was gripped to the very end, It almost felt that the book was based on someone’s life’s history, it felt so real and I immersed myself deeply with REN and
Della, cried and sobbed at the ending. Their love for each other was told beautifully. The first book , The boy and his ribbon must be read first to understand the second book .
