Short and sweet

modern fairytale

The story is short and sweet with modern fairytale components. She lives locked away painting every day. The hero comes to save the day.

Not a bad book, just not my cup of tea

While the story didn't appeal to me (basically a Rapunzel-type with a Dad involved in the underworld), the narrators did a pretty good job reading the novel.

Rushed but good

I like the story and the characters, but I feel like is missing something, more info about the father, about his business and the H business. Also, what they did after she was rescued, did they traveled? I feel like she needed to enjoy the world after everything. in overall, I did like the idea and how everything ended, and, wow lady! you should be a poet! that definition of his eyes...uff!

Rescue Romance

Addy is locked in her room by her father. Alec sees her through a window next door. Alec tries to communicate with Addy but realizes she can't even open a window. everyday they try to communicate through the window. They have a connection. Alec figures out who Addy's father is and what his plans for her are. Alec plans to get Addy out. Alec wears a wire and exposes Addy's father and all his shady business dealings. Alec breaks Addy out of her cage and frees her. Sweet short romance.

Gilded Cage

I enjoyed the storyline. It was a little outside the box of what I usually listen to, and I enjoyed that. The connection they shared was powerful.
The narrator took a lot away from the story.I struggled to finish only because the narrators narrations are not smooth or emotionally connected to the characters. It feels very cold to me.

Sweet book

This was a really sweet book. Addy and Alex were drawn to each other but because of Addy situation, these two couldn't talk to each other. Alec and Addy "talk" to each other with only their eyes and very little hand movements but that this all they need to know that they belong to each other. I enjoyed the little bit of action, drama, suspense, intrigue and the wonderful HEA that this book had to offered. I would recommend this book and Ms. Emma as a wonderful author. The Rebel Mistress did a really good job with Abby and Alex and their personalities.

Alec and Addy

Alec (H) notices a young woman, Addy (h), next door who seems to be being held captive. He falls for her and works to help free her in order to make her his. Hot and steamy with a little bit of ew as to who/why she's being held in this quickie!

Good Listen.

Not really my cup of tea, but I believe most people will like it. The characters are good, lots of chemistry, some drama, and a interesting ending.

Hero

She was right there, the love of his life. And he had to save her, delighting me with another great love story by a very talented author. Emma did a great job with this nice girl who was in our H's sights. I loved this as a reguslr story, but now I got to eat this up like candy. Ear candy! Once again I chose to read along to this awesome story.

Locked up, her prince was sure to come for her...

This was like a fairytale! How cool was this concept? I love the plot and the voice fit with the story well. The two of them really belong together. This was so sweet and yummy, a great addition to Emma's awesome collection of books. An emotional tale of a lovely couple. I loved the read, but reading along with a narrator was a really cool experience! Another hit!
