The Gift is a magical, fable-like Christmas story from Cecelia Ahern, the celebrated New York Times bestselling author of P.S. I Love You and Thanks for the Memories. The story of Lou Suffern, a successful executive frustrated by the fact that he spends more time in the office than with his doting wife and two young children, The Gift is “a tantalizing tale wrapped in a tale....[the] perfect treat for the holidays.” (Sara Gruen)

Feeling a little disconnected this holiday season, in a world that feels overwhelmingly cold and scary, I was in search of a book that would spark my gratitude for life. This book exceeded my expectations! It was a beautiful compilation of several intertwined stories, each individual was relatable, heart warming and wrenching at times. I couldn’t stop listening. I had to know how it would end… I have a feeling reading this book will be a new tradition for me for future holidays to remind me of what can’t be given but can be shared.

One of the BEST books I’ve ever read!

Similar to Ahern's The Book of Tomorrow, The Gift causes readers to inspect their own lives as they become entranced with those of Ahern's characters. The Gift is extremely well-written and narrated; but beware, it is a tear jerker!
