Just ok
I like the plot - but oh my was this a struggle to get through. I normally plow through this genre and this should’ve been in my strike zone. The pace was too slow and I found it very repetitive. Plus, at least two storylines were left either unresolved or unsatisfactorily so.

Got such mixed feelings
This audiobook could have been shorter but what to leave out is the dilemma. Just seemed some unneeded parts. I almost stopped listening more than once because it wasn’t holding my attention but glad I saw it through

Could have been a great novel but...
The subject is interesting but the writing is clunky and full of clichees. And the love story is little more than Halequin book intrigue.
Also, I get that you need a narrator who can pronoounce the German words correctly, but you also need one who is able to prononce the English words correctly. This narrator can not.
Very disappointing over all.
