Incredibly Fun & Clever

Absolutely a joy to read. I laughed out loud many times, and loved the slow unfolding of the main character's memory and tale.

Not Sandersons best, but good enough.

Good voice acting but as far as Sanderson stpries go this is probably thr one i have least enjoyed. Just like mediocre pizza its still pretty good.

Fun short story

I really enjoyed this. Not as hard to follow as some of his other work, it was well written and a fun story. Dramatized is definitely the best way to go on this one!

Great performance

I really enjoy the narration and the special effects in this book. Making the story much more engaging than just by reading it. Pros to cast. The story is quite linear and simplistic. However, the "wizard guide" part of the narration made me chuckle more than the story itself. It’s not the best work from Sanderson but I appreciate him trying different thing, out of his comfort zone.

So Much Fun In Medieval England

This was so much fun! I did an immersive read and so recommend listening and reading this book this way. Part science fiction part high fantasy, this story will be a cozy feel good time for most readers of the genre.

great story, world and characters

the main downside is that the publisher messed up splitting chapters so the whole book is just split into 2 'chapters'

The performances were great, story was awesome. I really hope there will be a sequel and that GA does their magic again.

Can I have a world full of talking bananas?

It was good to enjoy a book with interesting characters and a plot that kept my attention. The excerpts from his manual/sales catalog were fun and the speedily read fine print made me laugh out loud quite a few times. I appreciated the way we learned about the main character’s background along with him as he recovered his memory, and I was very pleased with the book’s conclusion. Well done. The dramatized version was enjoyable because the cast was talented and the recording didn't struggle with ambient sounds blocking out the reading.

Great Story, Disappointing Narration

I had previously listened to the audiobook and was excited when I saw this adaptation coming out. I was very disappointed in the narration of this one. As the narrator, the actor was monotonous and boring. He did great when speaking as the character though. It may have been better having a different narrator. Overall, this adaptation did very little to add to the experience of the book and I felt the performance in the original audiobook was more entertaining.

Definitely better than a standard narration

Great acting. Much more entertaining than the normal narration. If you are wondering dramatic or standard, definitely pick this one, the dramatic recording.
