Publisher's summary

Do you ever ask yourself: “Why am I like this?”

You can never eat just one of whatever snack you’re munching on. You drink to excess. You get up before dawn and drive home from work in the dark. You stare at your phone or computer screen all day. You can't remember the last time you took a walk and noticed nature. You can't remember the last time you felt the sand beneath your feet.

As you read this, you are craving that fresh air fix. You are so removed from natural surroundings, you've lost your spark. Even your relationships feel toxic and don't serve you. You've forgotten what it's like to feel whole. If this is true of you, you are not alone.

All of what makes up our lives, how we spend our free time, the people we spend time with, and who we are as people goes back to how we connect and communicate with our environment. If the environment is unnatural and unhealthy, it most likely isn't serving you. Why?

Our environments are urbanized, the air is full of pollution. There is no greenery around us, and trees have been cut down and turned into vacant lots. We don't know how to grow our own food. The food we eat is terrible for us, and we feel terrible. All of these things that disconnect us from nature contribute to our poor mental health.

This book helped me with my anxiety!

This book helped me with my anxiety. I knew it was important to get outside but not exactly how much it would affect my mood. This book is perfect for people who are struggling with their mood and just need that extra motivation to get outside.

The push we all need to get outside more!

This book serves as an excellent reminder for us all to get outside more and is complete with many sources to prove it. The narration is easy to follow and I enjoyed the reader's voice. I definitly recommend this book.
