Publisher's Summary

Annie Collins is back!

Becoming an overnight celebrity at age 16 should have been a lot more fun. Yes, there were times when it was extremely cool, but when the newness of it all wore off, Annie Collins was left with a permanent security detail and the kind of constant scrutiny that makes the college experience especially awkward.

Not helping matters: she’s the only kid in school with her own pet spaceship.

She would love it if things found some kind of normal, but as long as she has control of the most lethal - and only - interstellar vehicle in existence, that isn’t going to happen. Worse, things appear to be going in the other direction. Instead of everyone getting used to the idea of the ship, the complaints are getting louder. Public opinion is turning, and the demands that Annie turn over the ship are becoming more frequent. It doesn’t help that everyone seems to think Annie is giving them nightmares.

Nightmares aren’t the only weird things going on lately. A government telescope in California has been abandoned, and nobody seems to know why.

The man called on to investigate - Edgar Somerville - has become the go-to guy whenever there’s something odd going on, which has been pretty common lately. So far, nothing has panned out: no aliens or zombies or anything else that might be deemed legitimately peculiar...but now may be different, and not just because Ed can’t find an easy explanation. This isn’t the only telescope where people have gone missing, and the clues left behind lead back to Annie.

It all adds up to a new threat that the world may just need saving from, requiring the help of all the Sorrow Falls survivors. The question is: are they saving the world with Annie Collins, or are they saving it from her?

The Frequency of Aliens is the exciting sequel to The Spaceship Next Door.

Love little Annie Collins!

Annie Collins is back and living life as a celebrity with the power to destroy the world with an idea! The whole world turns on her and something else wants the spaceship for their own species. This book brings all the best characters back and Gene Doucette’s writing keeps the story moving as the characters all race to figure out what’s going on and how to stop it before the world is gone! Narration is excellent as always by Steve Carlson!! If you liked the first book you will love this one!

A Great Story

This was a great Sequel! If you enjoyed the first book then you will enjoy this book also. The author did a fine job on this book and as we all know sadly the second book in the series usually sucks BUT!! not this time everyone in the first is back, the action is back and I was laughing out loud at some spots just as I did in the first book.
Seriously if you liked the first book you will enjoy this book. I just hope there is a third book.

Surprise ending

Not enough touchy feely for my taste. The first book had Annie as a charming independent extrovert, with genuine and positive interactions with friends and family. In this book she has lost the quality of her ability to put isolated incidents together and come to inspired conclusions. She is portrayed as a naive introvert that is out of touch with her surroundings. And none of her relationships with friends or security, has any warmth or even honesty.

Great sequel

Great job expanding on a very cool and new idea of aliens. No cliff hanger, but plenty of room for expansion.

I like the story, but grandpa trying to narrate was annoying in both, book one and now I book two, well it really doesn’t work for me. Sorry......

Continuation of a great story, with great narratio

I love the delivery of this narration. There is something so much more natural about the conversations, even the young characters. Overall a great addition to the tale of Sorrow Falls.

Everyone sounds old

The story is ok, but the narrator makes everyone sound like an old man, and without the text specifying who said what, it can be hard to know.

Witty, surprising, and fun

The juxtaposition of a 19 year old girl, her pet space ship, a government analyst, a sentient idea or two and the whole menagerie of other great characters creates a quirky and lighthearted story that also digs deep into fantastic Sci Fi world building without marinating you in it.

A Must for story lovers about Aliens and Friends!

A great second act about Aliens and true Friends. I truly wish there was a third book as I did not want this story to end.
