Jack West, Jr. is thrust into a deadly ancient tournament of survival in an explosive thriller adventure where the fate of the world hangs in the balance—from internationally bestselling author Matthew Reilly.

Jack West, Jr. and his family are living peacefully on their remote farm when their world is suddenly torn apart. Kidnapped and imprisoned deep underground, Jack awakens in a labyrinthine cell—only to face a masked attacker charging at him with a blade. He soon learns he’s been chosen, along with a group of elite soldiers and warriors, to compete in a brutal series of deadly games designed to fulfill an ancient ritual tied to lost civilizations and mythic prophecy.

As the world-saving mission unfolds, Jack must navigate diabolical underground labyrinths, confront relentless assassins, and survive impossible trials in a high-stakes survival competition. The truth behind it all lies within the Four Legendary Kingdoms—a powerful, secret organization that may control the fate of humanity itself.

Jack West Jr. faces his most perilous challenge yet—and discovers he might not be the only hero capable of changing the course of history.

I’ve been a fan of Matthew Reilly since I picked up Ice Station all those years ago. He tends to take a long time between books, but they are always worth the wait. This story is an entertaining, over-the-top action romp that hits the ground running and doesn’t let up. Not much else I can say without spoilers, so I’ll just say, check this one out. If you are like me and a fan of Jack West, you won’t be disappointed.

Worth the wait

I don't think it's a spoiler to say this is a crossover book that links the Jack West books to another of Reilly's amazing series. Adding that to an already incredible plot makes for a profoundly action-packed thrill-ride that keeps running strong until the very last page.

According to an author interview at the end of the book, this book helps setup the next 2 (or was it 3?) novels in the West series. That's a lot of prep work. And the next book comes out soon. Can't wait!

A killer crossover!

If you are a fan of Jack West Jr. then you will love this book.

Not as good as previous books but very good!

If you are a fan of Matthew Reilly and have read his other books (highly Recommend all of the others and you should read before this one) then you will not be disappointed.

The Reader is very poor and has only one voice although he tries to do several. Found myself getting frustrated with his constant miss reads and pronunciation. But if you can get past the Reader you will find yourself swept away in another heart pounding, thrilling Jack West Jr. adventure!
