Publisher's summary

The Four Filters Invention of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger examines each of the steps they perform in framing and making investment decisions. The author believes that Buffett and Munger expanded the field of "behavioral finance" by using this thoughtful and effective process. The genius of Buffett and Munger's four-filters process was to capture all the important stakeholders in their decision making. Imagine: products, enduring customers, managers, and margin of safety...all in one mixed "qual + quant" formula. This second edition contains additional examples in this amazing process. This edition also contains the author's look into their 1988 valuation of Coca-Cola. Each chapter has additional specific examples. The author also discusses additional insights he has learned in the past five years since the first edition was released.

Glosses over too many deals without scratching the surface

The discussions of Kraft and Coca-Cola, in which the author crunches numbers alongside a qualitative discussion, were very instructive. These discussions were a small portion of the book. Too much of the book was mini 5-minute overviews of Buffett bought a nuts-and-bolts business for cheap and this is a list of the product line.

Below Audible standards

The poor reading and editing was distracting. Far below Audible.com standards. The book itself, however, is worth reading again.

Awesome content//unedited audio

Excellent presentation, summary and examples of the Buffett/Munger 4 filters of investing. Specific examples were extremely helpful.

While Jeff Hering’s voice and modulation were very good, there was no editing of this audio to remove mispronounced words, pauses, or stumbles in the audio reading. It was very distracting to listen to every single mistake, especially the mispronounced company names and terminology. Sections were repeated with correct pronunciation, but the section in error was left in.I had to check back and see if this was a free unedited download it was so awful!!!!

A list of Berkshire companies

After about 10-15 chapters of listing Berkshire acquisitions I lost interest. I was expecting some insights into the minds of Buffett and Munger, I made it to chapter 48 before I got tired of the list of companies they bought.

It sounds like the reader has never read this book before I can't believe there hasn't been a take to in some of these sections poor performance makes it difficult to listen to

Not worth it

As mentioned previously, they didn’t finish editing the audio before publishing.

My issue, was with the content. They spent more time listing the products of Procter & Gamble than they spent on giving practical advice on how do you evaluate the “good managers “or “good price”
