As Cynthia Wright’s marriage implodes, she is forced to raise her teenage son, Isaiah, alone. The pressure of providing for them through her salon is a full-time job in itself. When Cynthia sees Isaiah pulling away and escaping into video games, tensions rise and prayers feel unanswered. Angry and hurt, Isaiah starts acting like the father who abandoned him, and Cynthia gives him an ultimatum while turning to her twin sister, Elizabeth Jordan, for support. Elizabeth enlists a seasoned prayer warrior who challenges Cynthia to pray boldly and believe God for the impossible.

Caught in the middle, Isaiah longs for respect, but sees no clear path to becoming a good man. Desperate for a job, he wanders into Moore Fitness, Inc. and encounters the owner, Joshua Moore, who introduces him to the concept of working for a coach rather than a boss. Needing the work, Isaiah reluctantly begins his mentoring process with Joshua. While Cynthia clings to hope, no one sees the coming storms brewing at the company and in Isaiah’s heart.

The Forge is about the power of prayer, the transformation only God can achieve, and the lasting influence one person can have on others.

Another win for the Kendrick brothers

This was a great book, and I’m well aware of the Kendrick brothers and their movies. And now, I can’t wait to see the movie in a few weeks.
I’m also grateful, that they seem to be turning these into books and productions as well. It means a lot as I am a person who is not able to see. And it makes everything just that much more enjoyable.

Prayer is Power

The audio is not listed as the chapters in the book. Story was good. A lot of single moms with boys particularly should read this.

I absolutely love the way this book makes me look at my own heart and the way that I've been praying just like the book the war room I absolutely love and recommend 100% I honestly wish there is another book coming out now I'm just waiting until the movie is released

The practicality of how each person lives is changed one step at a time.

I enjoyed the real-world drama of a youth, a family being torn apart, and the truth that only God has a plan. I watch families that are torn apart, I work with divorce and recovery families. I see miracles, but often they get overshadowed by the tradition that is woven through the story. We need these stories to counter the trash that gets dolled out to the world and show what God can do with an open heart and Forgiveness. Keep writing and projecting hope.
