A good listen
I didn't think I would like this in the beginning because of the violence. But it pulled me in and I did like it. Now I am hooked on this series.

Too stressful
Although I enjoyed the author’s writing style, I found the story extremely stressful. Also, the ending was less than satisfying. After excruciating second-by-second descriptions, the ending seemed to jump the first 8 years of Reba’s son’s life to end with her sick and dying. I won’t be reading any sequels.

Love this ancestral storyline!

intense
I was exhausted after listening to this book, but in a good way. Defintely action packed. But what I really loved about this book is the awakening that comes from meeting people of different tribes. The narrator was captivating. I loved this audiobook.

This was an interesting story but it should not be compared to Jean Auel’s Earth’s Children Series. This story was much more fantasy.
