Brian Hart lived a mundane, structured life in London, England, with enough qualifications to secure a job at his local bank as a teller, which suited his staid, organized temperament just fine.

Now a 45-year-old bachelor, he saw a distinct possibility of living out the rest of his life alone, without even causing a ripple on the planet. Then the dreams began! To his own astonishment, he acted with firm conviction! He sold his house in the capital and bought an old boatyard by the South coast.
