Strange things begin happening:
- wildlife disappears

Villagers whisper that the mountains are waking again.
When Petar follows the trail into a forbidden valley known as The Bear's Hollow, he discovers signs that someone is using the wilderness as cover for something dangerous.
Something that will later trigger the events of the main novel.
The story ends when:
Petar sends a final warning message before vanishing.
