Outstanding!

Finished in 1 day! Could not put the book down, each plot twist kept me thinking I had it all figured out! Final twist proved me wrong! Excellent writing and narration.

Frustrating—no twists, no surprises.

I easily figured out the entire plot very early in the book. I kept hoping I was wrong and there would be some twists but nope just pure tedium to get to the end. Also, the two main women characters were incredibly gullible and just plain stupid. Not very believable. The last half hour was overly melodramatic explaining every detail that the reader had surely figured out a long time ago.

Believe the Hype!

Believe the hype on this one! Twisty turny thrill ride that grabs you from the start and doesn't let go! I found myself trying to find things to do just to keep listening!

I don't want to give anything away but wowza what a great thriller this one was!

Narration by Nathalie Buscombe was well done however I would have liked a little more delineation between Beth and Alice's voices.

Marylou

Overall I enjoyed this book. I thought it was a bit slow moving until Part 3. I was pretty sure I knew where it was going and then suddenly, I was wrong! I enjoyed the way the characters evolved and was glad I read it. So many reviews are full of reports of “twists and turns”, as a good thriller should be and this was a good one.

I received an ARC of this book and have given my honest review.

Lame

Used a credit based on reviews, but strongly wish I hadn’t. This story managed to be both convoluted & boring at the same time. Not worth it.

Ridiculous

Yet another British domestic mystery where the women act like dimwits the entire time only to get even with the bad guy (that you can see coming from a hundred miles away) in the end. There will not be one plot twist you haven’t already figured out - so much so that you won’t even think it was supposed to be a “twist”.
Also, boring most of the way through. I regret this one.

Predictable and lack luster

I feel like I wasted my time listening to this. It is very drawn out and lacks true suspense which is needed in a story like this. Early on I knew exactly what Nate did. I continued listening in hope that it would either prove me wrong or get better. Neither happened.

Lots of twists, but...

It took too long to get there and horrible ending. It's like the author gave up.

The First Mistake would be not reading this book.

Even better than The Other Woman! An intelligently written story about love ,trust and how the lack of one destroys the other.

actually pretty good.

I was not in love with the narrators accent at first, probably just because I wasn't expecting it. The story grew on me though, and while at some points I thought I knew what was happening, thinking "ok, this is too predictable..", I would be thrown another twist. Kept me coming back and listening far more often than just on my long drive home from work. I would recommend it for anyone who craves a little "too crazy to be true" kind of drama.
