Publisher's Summary

What Lila wants to be more than anything else in the world is...a Firework-Maker! But firework-making is not just about being able to make Crackle-Dragons and Golden Sneezes. There is also one special secret: every Firework-Maker must make a perilous journey to face the terrifying Fire-Fiend! Not knowing that she needs special protection to survive the Fire-Fiend's flames, Lila sets off alone. Her friends Chulak and Hamlet, the King's white elephants, race after her. But can they reach her in time?

the seeing stone

The Seeing Stone was the first King Arther book I read. I think this is a good book however, for a bookthat is about magic, this book need more magic in it. If someone wants to read a magic book, I recormand them to try the Septimous Heap books. It's full of exiting events, lots of magic and interesting swits.

Hmmm...

I love Pullman, but this is not his best work. The narrator is clearly a good actor, but trying to do the voice of a young girl when you're a grown man is actually a little creepy and the effect was jarring.

Sound quality is poor

The audio sound quality is poor. The story is great, reader’s performance is good but the sound quality is really poor.

Super children's story full of vibrant colour and character. Delightful. A great performance of it too by the narrator.
