Scarlett and Legend are Relationship Goals

This was by far my favorite book in the series. While the cliff hanger from book 2 definitely started this book off right in the middle of the action, the best part of this book was that Legend and Scarlett treat each other with respect, work as a team and communicate openly and honestly. I think this is the first Meghan March book where the characters have acknowledged their feelings, and fully accept their relationship this early in a series. We get to live in their love this whole book, there aren't any secrets, or an alpha trying to solve all the problems on his own. It is so refreshing and real. Scarlett and Legend are #relationshipgoals.

MM never disappoints!!!

All I can say is I loved everything about this this trilogy and “The Fight for Forever” was the perfect way to close this series out. While I usually feel bereft at the end of each series, this one just made me eager to ride this roller coaster all over again and I already know how it ends!!! I can’t say enough about the characters and the little teases you get into others in this world that have me crossing my fingers and hoping to see them get their own stories too. I can’t wait to see what Meghan writes next!!!! 🥰

The ending everyone wants

The conclusion of Legend and Scarlett's story makes me sad. This couple has gone through it all but overcame and fought. They fought through the odds and won but they were not the only one. Joe Arden and Erin Mallon are undeniably fantastic narrators. I could picture the characters in my head through the entire story.

Legend knew what needed to be done to live, to survive the odds, to make it out alive and he did just that. He learned how strong Scarlett truly was and he learned that he needed her as much as she needed him. His family was strong but the family that came with Scarlett was just as strong. They were not going to lose. The struggles, the people and the need to live was very strong. There were a lot of OMG and a few he needs his butt kicked. The sub characters made family true to this couple. The love each of them showed each other only made your heart swell. It didn’t matter what may have happened but you knew they would bear the demons.

I love Bump and his adventures. Let’s just say he is a true man!!! The growth that we have seen in him alone makes me want a story just for him!!

The ending to this story was perfect but learning more about people and why things were done made you think and know why it happened the way it did. I couldn't get enough of this story and begged for more. This series is just like all the others, fantastic!!

Great ending to the Trilogy. As always Meghan keeps you guessing the ending all the way to the end! And the end has a great twist! You will be happy with this book for sure.
I am always impressed with Meghans books and I have listened to each and every one! Can’t wait to start on her new stories.

Just okay story, narration doesn't help.

This review is meant to include the entire Legend series: The Fall of Legend, The House of Scarlett, and The Fight for Forever.

I can accept that I need to suspend my disbelief when I enter a Meghan March world. I can accept the fabulous wealth of her characters, the ridiculous concept of "alpha males" and all the rest, as long as the story's good and emotional, the writing is good and creative, the sex is hot and plentiful, and the narration - if it's an audio book - is decent. This book fails at most of that.

The story is flimsy, completely unbelievable, and (given the talent I know March can bring to bear when she gets it right) largely unaffecting. The plot is much weaker than I'd expect from her, and her usual trope - a bad guy who falls for a good girl and is suddenly changed and committed, and they overcome some very far-fetched conflict while they talk endlessly about how a.) the guy is such an alpha, b.) he's so protective he'd die for her c.) she's got to be protected, d.) he doesn't deserve her, e.) ad nasuem - is beginning to wear thin with me.

Then, there's the execution of it all. Some of the lines and internal monologues are cringe-worthy. Most of this story just fell short for me. The twists were predictable and the tertiary characters were little more than cardboard cutouts of stereotypes. The conclusion is a big letdown; when you've invested hours upon hours of reading and listening in a story, you just expect a bigger payoff than the contrived and almost comical climax of this series. Situations and personal conflicts (Scarlett and her father, for instance) are left unresolved and incomplete. I frequently found the dialog to be cringe-worthy, repetitive, and/or banal; much of the drama is forced and not compelling in the least. Overall, I expect much, much more from Meghan March. It's hard to believe that the author of Take Me Back and the Beneath series also wrote this; March can do so much better.

Separate issue: The narration is barely tolerable. The only reason I stuck through the whole trilogy was to give the whole thing a fair shake. But in the end, everything listed above might have been less of a problem had the performances of the narrators been better.

Joe Arden's voice sounds as if he's suffering with allergies or something; it's got a a nasal quality that renders some of his words unintelligible and I found myself rewinding frequently to catch what was said. His attempts at female voices actually had me laughing at times, and most of his male character's voices were indistinguishable from one another. Oh, and what is up with his Creighton Karas performance? Sounds like a computer-generated voice reading the whole thing, utterly flat and oddly accented. That alone justifies my review, imho.

Erin Mallon's voice and tone were better and more easy to understand, and she seemed to put some actual feeling into some of the work. She doesn't seem to be aware, though, when she's switching characters and all her females sound like valley girls and cheerleaders. She doesn't seem to bring any kind of understanding of the story or main character to her performance, though.

The bigger problem is that overall, both narrators seem to have no actual acting skills. The performances were flat, with little emotion aside from anger. The inflection, emphasis, and overall reading did not engage me and actively put me off in some areas. For instance, if a passage read (for example) "'I love you,' she said, as she closed the door," it is often performed as three separate statements. "I love you." She said. As she closed the door." The words just don't flow naturally, as they should. It seems like the narrators were not only reading the story for the first time, but that they weren't even paying attention as they went and their narration actually detracted from the story.

Overall, if you're a Meghan March fan and you don't expect much from narration, then you might like this series. I found it to be hard to listen to, trite and unoriginal, and overall only worth listening to if it's the only thing available.

Good

This was a good ending to this trilogy. I think right through this whole series I just found Scarlett annoying. The whole dealing with the ex and dad just didn't do it for me.
I must say I was very happy when she clocked the mean girl, lol.
Other than that, I loved the story I loved Gabriel from the start to the finish.
The narrators was definitely amazing!

Epic!!

This third and final book in the Legend series is explosive and amazing. Not that I am shocked by it however, everything Meghan writes hooks me from start to finish. I truly enjoy listening to these stories come to life, it makes them better than I could ever imagine.

Scarlett and Legend was explosive from the very start. I have to say that I will forever have a soft spot for Gabriel Legend, he came from nothing and was never truly loved like he deserved and he found his HEA and it’s amazing. Scarlett absolutely loves him, flaws and all and that is a sign if a truly strong women. She has wealth and power yet she doesn’t let that influence her at all. Love her!!!

The narration by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon is impeccable. They knocked it out of the park with the emotion and suspense in their voices. You couldn’t have a better audio book duo.

I would give this series ten stars if I could. Definitely a must read.

NEVER Disappointed

She had me worried for a minute there, when I realized where this story was basically headed. I wasn't so sure I was going to like it. I never should have doubted the amazing MM--she's never let me down! This was a stellar end to a brilliant series for which I have nothing but praise.

Thank you for taking me to another beautiful paradise of your creative genius!

Brilliant!

Yet again Meghan March has delivered a gripping and very satisfying conclusion! Legend is in the fight of his life to protect what’s his. And with Scarlett beside him he’ll do whatever it takes to win The Fight For Forever.
The Legend Trilogy is brilliant and I highly recommend it!

loved it!

As I read more and more Meghan March books I find there isn't one that I don't like. This the final installment of the legend trilogy finished off the story nicely. No unanswered questions were left everything was tied up in a neat little bow. The narration was fantastic - Joe Arden was legend, he embodied the character bringing him to life. Erin Mallon did the same for Scarlett. Meghan March normally has twists and turns in her books that is why I love them, but this one fell a little short with the surprises. I was able to pick the ending right from book 1, but I still loved it.

not her best

it was a mild suspense driven storyline.
however I'm only comparing to Ms March's others.
the plot and it's characters had soooo much potential but there were holes in the storyline, I never dreamed I'd see this from this author.
she made their dangerous situation look mild. thei concerns mellow and their emotions she only trifle with concern.
the hero in book 1 made me ooh and aah but he got softer as he went along....
Scarlett was a bit dopey I'm boom1 but I like how her character grew but it was still hard to listen to when they seemed to act so nonchalant. k
lehpgend I understand, he won't be touched but others.....?..
anyway I've loved more books from her the not so she's still. in the top 5 for me.
great narration by Erin. Joe meh, I've never been a huge fan but his voice worked walk for the development of the hero character.
Aiden snow could have been legend badass book 1...he's got the voice.
