Doesn't disappoint!

Those who enjoy Beverly Lewis's books will be happy with this one. It's a great story about Amish and non-Amish and how they relate and clash. I recommend it highly.

Very simple

I just found the story line very simplistic and honestly boring. Not what you normally read from Beverly Lewis

The Fiddler

Overall the story was fairly good. However, predictable. Parts of the story were very touching. Somewhat disappointed in the narration. I do enjoy Christina Moore. However, I never understand when you have two narrators - a male and female - why the male can't do the male parts and vice-a-versa. Other than that it was a nice listen.

Loved the story!!

Would you listen to The Fiddler again? Why?

I would because it was so enjoyable and I liked the insights of Amish culture and seeing the struggles of Michael's decision on whether to join the church and the unknowing suspense of how the book might end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fiddler?

The talk under the tree and how he admired her fiddling.

What does Christina Moore and Andy Paris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved hearing the deeper voice for the male voices but I had hoped for a bit of variety because sometimes if I missed who was talking I wasn't sure which man was talking a d would get confused but I really enjoyed all of their expressional reading

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

At the end I had an overly joyous feeling when she realized it was Michael only dressed as an englischer

Any additional comments?

Loved hearing about the Amish experience as it was a bit of a getaway and soul searching time and how they were able to help and advise

Finally!

I chose this rating because I had tried reading the Fiddler for over a year. Husband downloaded it on my phone and the storytellers brought it to life for me.
