    76ERS v KNICKS GAME 6 TONIGHT!!!!! Tyrese Maxey has to continue to be the Batman with Joel Embiid as Robin for the Sixers to pull off the comeback in this series! What to expect from the Sixers and who will be the next man to step up after Maxey and Embiid. Harris? Oubre? Batum? Payne?

    Phillies beat the Angels 2-1 to wrap up their 10 game road trip. The Philies went 7-3 on the trip overall. Zack Wheeler labored through 5ip throwing 106 pitches but only allowing 1 run. Kyle Schwarber's two-run single in the 2nd was the only offense the Phillies would need for the win.

    Alec Bohm extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a single, he also JUST missed two home runs, they both feel short at the warning track.

    Rob Thomson had a some oddities with his line up and decision making with how he used the bullpen. Among them were Schwarber starting in LF while Trea Turner was the DH. Also Brandon Marsh and Johan Rojas got the day off with Cristian Pache starting in CF. Gregory Soto was the closer

    Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers to a 112-106 come-from-behind overtime victory in Game 5 against the New York Knicks Tuesday night. Philadelphia's All-Star guard dropped 46 points including the game tying 3 that forced overtime. Maxey scored 17 of his 46 in the 4th quarter including 7 points in the final 25 seconds of regulation.

    Joel Embiid had a struggle-filled night with 9 turnovers, but somehow gutted out a triple double performance with 19pts, 16 rebs and 10 assists. He also had four blocks.

    The Sixers role players also did their job as Tobias Harris knocked down 3 three’s in route to a 19 point game, while Kelly Oubre Jr score 14. Nico Batum and Cam Payne led the charge off the bench as both players hit 2 threes each. Batum came up with 8 points, Payne had 6.

    Maxey said the win that his poor fourth quarter performance in game 4 fueled him to take over in the fourth quarter of game five.

    The Phillies had a come-from-behind win of their own last night rallying from a 5-3 deficit in the 8th inning to beat the Angels 7-5.

    Alec Bohm started the comeback in the 8th inning with an RBI single plating Trey Turner to make it a 5 four ball game then Nick Castellanos tied the game in the top of the 9th hitting a first pitch high fastball 386 feet over the right field wall. Bryson Stott then hit a one-out ground rule double to left. That set the stage for the hero of the night.

    Johan Rojas picked the perfect time for his first home run of the season as he smacked a 2- run home run over the left field wall turning on a slider.

    AJ Brown addressed the media Tuesday about his contract extension. Says he hopes to retire as an Eagle.

    Eagles have a solid draft taking two Corners with their first two picks and adding an Edge Rusher in the 3rd. Howie drafts "starters" and that the Eagles targeted a "Mentality" offseason in free agency and draft.

    Phillies completed the sweep of the Padres, with an 8-6 win Sunday afternoon. Bryson Stott hits two, two-run homers! Alec Bohm chipped in 2 doubles as he extended his hitting streak to 12 games. JT Realmuto added a homer as well.

    De’Anthony Melton expected to play tonight in the Sixers game three against the Knicks.
    Every Sixer seems to be in the right headspace with their approach to game 3.

    Phillies dropped their second in a row losing to the Reds last night 7 to 4 bullpen allowed six earn runs four charged to SerAnthony Dominguez. Spencer Turnbull was pitching great through 5 innings allowing just one run but Rob Thomson decided to take him out because he “sat too long" between the 5th and 6th innings. Turnbull said after the game, he would have been fine to go back out there.

    Time to demote SerAnthony? YUP!

    Phillies bats when 4-for-16 with runners in scoring position. Alec Bohm went four for four out of the three-hole with two runs batted in.

    The NBA released its last two-minute report confirming what every 76ers fan already knew that Tyrese maxey was fouled not once but twice on the Sixers’ inbounds play at the end of game two. The league also acknowledged that Sixers head coach Nick Nurse did in fact call time out and should have been granted the timeout.

    Tyrese Maxey was named the 2023-2024 NBA's most improved player.

    The Philadelphia Phillies had their 7-game win streak snapped losing to the Cincinnati Reds 8- 1. Christopher Sanchez lasted just three innings throwing 74 pitches while his defense wasn't much better committing 3 errors. Sanchez surrendered 5 runs but only 1 was earned.

    The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the New York Knicks, 104-101 to fall into a 2-0 series hole. Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid combined for 69 of the Sixers 101 points. Tobias Harris was the only other sixer to finish in double-figures in scoring with 10points. Maxey fell short of a triple double by one rebound.

    Sixers built a 5-point lead with under 30 seconds to go in the game but that's when the Knicks took over. Jalen Brunson hit a three with 27 seconds left to cut the lead to 2.

    Then after a controversial inbounds play that resulted in Dante DiVincenzo converting a second chance opportunity into three points gave the Knicks a 102-101 lead. Sixers head coach nick nurse said he called time out during the inbounds play on two different occasions but was never acknowledged by the referee.

    The Phillies one their 7th consecutive game with a 7 nothing win over the Cincinnati Reds to open up their four-game series. Ranger Suarez continued his dominance tossing 7 scoreless innings striking out five allowing just two hits and walking one. The Phillies lefty has now thrown 25 consecutive scoreless innings.

    After going 8-2 during their ten game homestand, the Phillies now go on a 10-game road trip starting tonight at 6:40 against the Cincinnati Reds. The last time the Phillies lost the series was when they dropped 2 of 3 to the Reds in their second series of the season.

    The 76ers have a problem on their hands when it comes to Joel Embiid’s knee injury. The question is come up from Inquirer dot coms Keith Pompey as to whether or not the Sixers should even play the reigning MVP for the remainder of the playoffs.
