Last in Series
This was the third book I read/listened to in this series by Elizabeth Bromke. My heart went out to the characters in this story. We had two romances in this this one book. I do hope there is more later. Maggie was such a rock for her friends. I didn't understand why she wouldn't let them help her. I liked how Bromke link the characters from all three books. I enjoyed the slow burn of the couple and how they took time to get pass the past before jumping into a relationship.
Cecily White did an wonderful job narrating once again. Her performance of female and male voices was great!

Adorable story
These almost old worldly storys by this author will make your heart melt. They are beautifully written with a delightful attention to detail and wonderful characters who make a home in your heart real quick.
Heart warming read.

That country feeling
What happens when your husband disappears and leaves you on the brink of bankruptcy? Maggie finds herself served with eviction papers, and no where to go. While packing things up, she finds correspondence leaving her an old farmhouse on the edge of town. Could this be the answer to her prayers? Rhett is looking for a change in his life. Coming home to Hickory Grove could be the answer. But his old flame in town is married! Or is she? Now given the second chance they both deserve, will they take it throw it away? This is a sweet listen. I love Maggie's new found independence and confidence in herself. She has such an amazing drive and love for her kids that nothing is going to stand in her way. Rhett is a wonderfully warm man who has been dealt bad cards. Now he has a chance a real happiness. I love these two, their history and their future. A warmhearted listen, it is a joy to my ears.
Cecily White brings this story out with warm and tranquil sound. I enjoy her voices and she finds each character the perfect voice. I look forward to hearing more from her.

Lots of twists and turns
This was an unexpected storyline. Quite a few surprises thrown in there. You won’t get bored with all the twists and turns. Absolutely brilliant narration from Cecily.
