Have you ever dreamed that you were falling? Did you ever land?

Well, those brave enough to endure the fall will find themselves in the magical realm of HAEVEN.

Eleven-year-old Sammie Stormbrook is no stranger to nightmares. Normally, she can handle them. What she can’t handle is moving three times in two years, a shifting family dynamic, living away from her dad, and a new middle school with bullies worse than the last!

At her breaking point, Sammie dreams she is falling. But instead of waking, she is kept in the dream by a sound… The laughter of her baby half-sister, Ellie. She instinctively dives after her and the two crash-land in the new world of Haeven.

But this war-torn “Haeven” is no safe place for anyone, let alone a couple of kids. And if Sammie thought HER world was tough, how will she handle the trials and tests of this mysterious new land?

Join Sammie, Ellie, and their new friend Dodoboy as they learn the importance of overcoming obstacles and sticking together on an adventure that will change them and Haeven forever.

It’s a fun and very creative story that takes us in the inner and outer worlds of a young girl struggling with finding her place in her new family, school, and life. We can all relate to the struggles of fitting in and just wanting to disappear into our own imaginations where everything is better, easier, and we are happy. Much like Pans Labyrinth has Sammy found herself trapped in a world with creatively designed characters and customs that don’t make sense…or is it a world of her own making to cope with hard real life lessons.
The themes of friendship, maturity, and what it means to grow up finding ur own fearless autonomy are beautifully interlaced. Highly recommend.

A beautiful story
