Publisher's summary

Five hundred quiet years had passed, and then for only the second time within the collected memory of man, the earth shook. Footsteps froze and eyes went wide while birds exploded from treetops and filled the sky in frenzied flight.

But "he" knew. And he understood. He recalled the dark sentences uttered eons ago that had set these events whirling into motion. The waking-stirrings of the Tyrant! "I won't give them up!" His defiance echoed down the halls of eternity, but the voice said: "They are mine and I love them." The Tyrant of old was on the move again... And Lucifer knew his time was running out.

Superb Story

This is a biblically accurate novel set in fiction. I didn't want this Trilogy to end.

Non-Darwin Biased Biblical History Fiction

This review covers all 3 CradleLand Chronicles books which I listened to in the order they were written. I appreciate the author's thoroughness in sculpting such a colorful and plausible tale that takes place during the days of Noah. I realize that, for a lot of people, the Bible is as fictional as the secular books they read, but for those of us who take the Bible seriously the story of "the flood" is an intriguing if not somewhat mysterious event. The Bible describes this era of history with condensed detail, yet it impacted all of humanity since and set the stage for biblical events to come. The earth as it was changed. Never before have I read, or listened, to such a fantastic story describing man's early years. The credibility of the plot which weaves throughout the whole series is taken from Biblical events.

I congratulate the author for creating a believable evil world that was spawned by satan and his fallen angels. It plays on the notions of what Jesus said concerning the end of days as being like "the days of Noah." This is a well written non-heretical series with plenty of suspense and drama. The books were obviously written not to offend any age group even though the material portrays an apocalyptic theme. I highly recommend this series to students of the Bible who want to have their view of man's early history pushed to new limits, as well as indulge in a fun read/listen.

This is what "original" is all about.

This whole series is original. Douglas Hirt's take on pre-flood history is one of a kind and truly inspired. I loved all three of these books. I am not one to watch or read something again, but this series is one I make an exception for. If we are on a drive and my kids want to listen to it again, no problem. The narrator of the first book is hard to get used to and annoying at times, but the story makes up for it. Narration on the next two books is great. I recommend this series to everyone.
