Simply delightful

I cannot get enough of this author/narrator combination. After reading just Jorie, this was a no-brainer credit spend, and it lived up to expectations and then some. Laugh out loud funny, again--you KNOW these people, you work, live, eat, sleep with them. There were several parts where I had to call my mother or my wife and quote a line to them just because they were so spot on, funny, poignant, real life. The love scenes are typical of the genre, but the story is so much more than the "usual" romance.

OMW! LOL! I want to be friends with them!

Once again, Robin Alexander had me LOL'ing! The humor is perfectly balanced with life. The characters are rich and deep. As I've experienced with most of the characters created and developed by Ms. Alexander, I want to be friends with them. I appreciate their perception of family and communication. I appreciate their sometimes subtle, sometimes flamboyant take on life and its nuances. Fantastic listen!!!!! that I'm sure I'll listen to several more times to come!

A Must Hear!

Fantastic and hilarious. This audio has turned out to be one of the best audio books I have purchased. I can't recommend it enough. Had me laughing out loud.

Pretty Good; Expected Better

Robin Alexander's 'Just Jorie' is one of my favorite Audible books and when I noticed this one in the 'New' file I jumped on it. Well let me say that this selection is no 'Just Jorie'; it's just okay, no better. There are no huge glaring deficiencies in this book or narrative, just the sense that the author took far too many shortcuts and at certain points just mailed it in.
For starters Ethan and Inez are both too broadly drawn and to use a phrase I probably use too often in doing these reviews are "sitcom characters." Can't you see them in some lame comedy line-up filling the 8:30 slot; no wait, make that the 9:00 slot; they're too many gay people and we must protect the children from the knowledge that gay people exist. Then there are those damn teens and their hormones; unfortunately due to the findings of the "Meese Commission" back in the eighties any mention or depiction of anyone under the age of 18 having consensual sex with no negative repercussions is promoting child pornography. With the age of first time sexual contact growing ever younger it just gets less and less realistic that when it comes to fiction, no one under 18 ever gets laid. I did a brief unscientific survey of friends, family and co-workers as to their age at the point of their first sexual contact. 30 of 33 people queried were under 18 and 16 of those were under the age 16. Okay sorry, I got off on another rant there, this book is pretty good and all in all this selection is definitely worth the credit if you're a fan of genre.

Such a cute story

I enjoy this author/narrator combo. The language is authentic for today. The interactions between the characters are genuine. Don't hesitate to give this a listen.

Amazing!

I loved this story so much. I found myself at the hardest moments for the characters. I enjoyed every minute of this book, and wish there were more to listen to. It was relatable and fun. Great narration as always. Lisa Cordileone will always be one of my favorite narrators. So worth the listen!

The humor. The story was great and you like the characters, but the humor set her books apart.

The reading, the emotions and actions are flawless with her. She does amazing readings.

I've read nearly all of this author's books. This one has some humor but that's where it stops. Far too many characters with too much "character". And not a fan of the narrator.

Fun and funny

Just a easy ride of a story with a bunch of crazy characters. I really enjoyed the two love stories running side by side.
