I truly enjoyed this audio book

The Story on the whole. The narrator keep me interested in the Characters and there was a bit of written History

Women in Wartime

I enjoy stories of women’s lives on the homefront of World War II. This is a good story of women in Liverpool, who took on some of the most dangerous jobs. It is there every day stories, complete with the celebrations and the trials that everyone endures. It’s just that there are intensified during wartime. I read about the munitions factories in that area at that time, and I do wish they’d included a little more of the history that happened there. But this is a good story, well told.

Light story about Britain during WWII

Quick read. Story about the trials and tribulations of a family left at home for over 4 years while their soldier fought during WWII.

I am sorry to say although the book was well written it lacked something I am not sure what but I found myself skipping every day stuff. I never want to discredit any authors just wanted to say maybe add some excitement instead of doilies made for someone. Some of that is okay but it was threaded throughout the book.
