Meet Jano Borian, a quarterstaff-wielding vigilante who roams the continent of Hazaorok in search of people to aid and wrongs to right. Many take one look at his thuggish countenance and dismiss him as a common criminal, though his shining armor suggests a nobler ancestry. Both would be wrong of his origin, however: he is an enigmatic—and arguably deluded—figure driven by his faith to a god which may or may not exist.

An orc warlord named Kroler rampages through the west, burning village after village in search of a powerful jewel called the Eye of the Kiln. In the village of Klemsiah, the dying wish of Ezal’s father is for him to carry the Eye swiftly east, to the town of Itsan, so that it may remain in their people’s hands. But Ezal is not yet a man, and cannot make the journey alone.
