It is populated by wild-eyed demagogues, marauding vigilantes, possessed bloodhounds, and even by the Ku Klux Klan itself. Reminiscent of the works of Louise Erdrich, Edward P. Jones, and Marilynne Robinson, The Evening Road is the story of two remarkable woman on the move through an America riven by fear and hatred, and eager to flee the secrets they have left behind.

This book was fantastic!!! All the way until the crazy broads perspective it kinda took away from the impactful performance.

I just love how the author writes. Even if I don’t get an ending I am always happy to have listened.

Masterful Writing

Masterful Writing and excellent story telling. The vivid description of scenes, characters and the awesome flow of dialog are classic Faulkner.

Great performances

Poor character development, found it hard to care what happened to any of them. Very slow storyline that ends abruptly, like the author was just tired of writing.
