Getting ready to go Keto may seem like an intimidating task, but with the right preparation, it doesn’t need to be. The Ketogenic diet is a significant change from the standard american diet, but if you come into it with the right tools and the right mentality, you will be astounded by what you can achieve.

One of the best things you can do is switch your thinking from long-term to short-term. Of course, you have long-term goals, but if you only focus on the long-term, things can feel overwhelming. Instead, try setting more immediate short-term aims to help you get through the transition period.

Commit to follow a strict Ketogenic diet for just one month before you take your first cheat day. If you can stick to think responsibility, you will be Keto-adapted and will see the beginning of your incredible results. The other aspect of your mind that you need to be ready for is cravings. Cravings are a healthy and natural part of every diet. At some point during that first month, you will feel cravings for carbs.

There are two things you can do to overcome these desires. The first is more to remind yourself that cravings will get less intense over time. If you can commit to that first month, you will feel your needs decrease significantly.

Another essential step in developing to go, Keto, is getting your kitchen in order. If you try to be on the Ketogenic diet but your kitchen is full of bread, pasta, and processed foods, you’re going to give in to your cravings immediately. Once you’ve decided to commit to the Ketogenic diet, you should take a few days to prepare your kitchen. Get rid of craving foods, processed foods, and all the foods that don’t fit into the Ketogenic diet. 

If you’ve got a family to feed, and they aren’t going to be Keto, consider making a cabinet that is just for your Ketogenic foods. Separate out the non-Ketogenic diets that could trigger cravings, and promise yourself not to look in those drawers or cabinets.

So, what food should you have in your kitchen?

At least at the beginning of your Ketogenic journey, make sure to keep it simple. Don’t try to make fancy, grain-free Keto bread or crackers, and stay away from Keto desserts. Fill your refrigerator with vegetables and Keto-approved cheeses. Buy a few different types of meat and plenty of eggs. Learn how to make three or four quick and easy Keto meals.

Every recipe has nutritional information

Every recipe has nutritional information and serving sizes, unlike the other keto books I bought off here. It's full of nice big pictures too, which is great as I am visually impaired. The recipes are very easy to follow and very affordable. I have made several of them using ingredients I can easily find at my local grocery store and they have all turned out great.

Good recipes


The recipes contained in this book are based around real foods with a strong vegetable intake, particularly leafy greens. Here you'll learn how to eat a keto diet based on real foods. It has an array of recipes collection for breakfasts, brunch and dinners, poultry, soup, stew and salads, beef and pork, fish and seafood, vegan and vegetarian, sweet and savory snacks, appetizers, desserts and condiments. The book gives a very basic explanation of Keto and a lot of great, easy prep recipes.

Easy


Had been steadily eating a Keto Diet for months and fell off for awhile. I wanted to get back into it and figured this would be a great way to kickstart the diet again. I am loving the recipes! They are all so delicious and easy to make.

I think the cookbook is worth what I paid for it.


I think the cookbook is worth what I paid for it. I would have paid four times as much probably if it had actual pictures incorporated into the cookbook that the author actually made themselves. The author may have indeed made the recipes but I would have liked to have seen them adjacent to the actual recipe in the cookbook.

It contains clarifications about the standards of keto diet, about the procedure of ketosis, about permitted and disallowed nourishments, about the advantages and disadvantages of the eating regimen, about its support.. A significant point in the upkeep of keto diets is eating out with the proposals of the creator to keep up the procedure of ketosis.The rules and plans are very solid and steady with data and comprehension to have a sound dinner for whenever of the day for a sound life living in keto.

This is a fantastic cookbook


This is a fantastic cookbook, and I've already got a list of more recipes to make from it. It contains explanations about the principles of keto diet, about the process of ketosis, about allowed and prohibited foods, about the pros and cons of the diet, about its maintenance.. An important point in the maintenance of keto diets is eating out with the recommendations of the author to maintain the process of ketosis.

It’s true that your mindset can be a self-fulfill


It’s true that your mindset can be a self-fulfilling prophecy for how your day is going to turn out. If you wake up on the wrong side of the bed and are negative, chances are your day will be worse for it. This book has taught me how to be more positive and even if there is an issue, I’m dealing with it in a way that’s less destructive and instead encourages people to be better. It can be difficult when you turn on the news and they’re yelling at each other, people on social media are mad at each other, people are complaining at work, etc.

The Best Keto Book!

Very easy to understand and explains how keto works without being loaded with confusing medical jargon. Raelynn Smithalso explains the use for supplements & herbs & how they can boost keto diet benefits. I highly recommend this book for any keto newbie.

This is the most important book


This is the most important book on about keto. I felt in love with the author's podcast and very real approach to women's bodies and health that is different from all notions about keto mainly studied in men. It is not merely a switch to new recipes. It is an abandonment of comfortable habits, favorite foods, and the pattern of events in one's daily life. To that end, The Keto Diet provides extensive meal planning guides, suggestions about how to plan meals that produce leftovers for the next meal, and even a guide on how to use different kitchen utensils to add variety to some of the same ingredients. I highly recommend the book!

This book is huge, packed with so much info


This book is huge, packed with so much information and a lot of recipes. I think it would be equally useful for a vegetarian, to get ideas for salads or soups, there are a lot of those in it. I want to loose weight fast but i love sweets and pasta it’s my favorite food. This book is incredibly detailed and very informative about ways to manage your own personal ketogenic diet.I recommend this book at least once a week to people who are keto or are thinking about keto.

Great cookbook

Keto is a godsend, then the devil brings us those carbs and they taste better than ever. Great cookbook for the shelf letting everyone know we are one of the millions who have given it a try while we eat pizza thinking about what could have been. There is always hope, and having this good book gives us a great ideas to try again.

This book is amazing!


This book is amazing! Author writes in such a way that is easy to understand. The first half of the book is her helping you to learn more about the ketogenic diet, the science behind it, types of fats, and all sorts of helpful things. ! The recipes ALWAYS turn out great. They are simple! I love the grocery lists per week. It's just the most well thought out Lifestyle Change Tool ever. Save yourself the hassle of trial and error and learn from the master.

I just got this book a few days ago


I just got this book a few days ago. I took time to read through it, made a menu and I start my new lifestyle tomorrow morning! This book is amazing at explaining the keto world! I came from a Whole Foods based diet, but still ate too many carbs and hit a plateau on my weight loss and still struggle with constant sugar highs and lows. Looks very helpful so far. More info than another beginner's book I purchased. Recipes look so good, too!

I have just started following the Keto diet and have found Raelynn Smith book very helpful. At the beginning of the book the Ketogenic diet is briefly explained so that you know if the diet is for you, there is a bit on mistakes to avoid and tips for meal planning. The recipe's are very easy to follow and the ones that I have tried so far are very tasty. All in all it's a good book that I would recommend to anyone looking to give the Keto diet a go

Great resource


I have been doing keto for a year know. I've read a ton of information about keto and listen to keto poscaat as well. This is book is well written and is such a great resource book! She explains the ketogenic way of eating very well, provides 3 different paths to take to be successful and it has a ton of recipes. It's like getting 2 books in one....an informational book and a cook book! I initially bought the kindle version but loved it so much that I also bought the printed version! This is excellent for beginners as well as experiences ketogenic dieters!
