Publisher's summary

From beloved British author Rosamunde Pilcher comes a charming audiobook as warm and soothing as The End of Summer.

After years in the United States, Jane returns to the tranquil Scottish estate Elvie, where she spent a magical childhood. Memories of Elvie had always summoned the image of Sinclair, the rakish man Jane had once dreamed of marrying, but now that she is home, she finds Sinclair a different man. His charm has a purpose, and Jane can no longer trust him...or herself, in The End of Summer.

When you listen to a novel by Rosamunde Pilcher, you enter a special world where emotions sing from the heart. A world that lovingly captures the ties that bind us to one another - the joys and sorrows, heartbreaks and misunderstandings, and glad, perfect moments when we are in true harmony. A world filled with evocative, engrossing, and above all enjoyable portraits of people's lives and loves, tenderly laid open for us....

Feel good story

Rosamunde Pilcher does it again and writes a very good story. I only wish it were longer!

This was so easy to listen to and another of Rosamunde Pilcher’s excellent story telling books!

I will definitely add more of her books to my library!

Jilly Bond and Rosamund Pilcher are a wonderful pair!

This book is a delightful way to relax into a weekend….pass a few travel miles….or bubble bath away taking the kids to the grocery store.🌹
Jilly Bonds voice is the perfect medium for Mrs. Pilcher’s rich European prose.

Very poor reader

This reader is hard to listen to, with a kind of hooty upper class voice. Wasn’t too bad in this book but was dreadful in Voices in Summer, where she gave one character who seemed like a perfectly nice person a shrill screeching voice. Thankfully I was able to return that one to Audible. I don’t think I could have stood 8hrs of it.
