Pretty intense for the age group
The main character is 16 yet the whole plot is about her being in a war and trying to murder someone. This book was much less graphic than the previous ones prior but parents beware that you may want to read prior to your young reader. I enjoyed the chapters that were from Dorothy's perspective and wish she would have written like this in the other books. It helped to round out the characters more than the others books did. This book wrapped up the series quite well and had a good ending.

Loved this series
What a wonderful story from beginning to end. Following Amy in her travels as she traveled through Oz. All the loss, the triumph, the twists and turns. Learning about what happened to Dorothy and why she did what she did. The way the story ended makes me what to read more. I don’t know if Danielle Paige plans on continuing the story, but one can hope and if she does, I will be there ready to read it. Devon Sorvari was great in the way that she narrated each story in the series. Thank you for such a wonderful story.
