Jha Ramandem experienced a whirlwind tour of Scotland and Paris on his long overdue return to India. In Amritsar, India, he took care of unfinished business and paid his respects to his sister’s resting place, under the Banyon tree. The last place he saw his little sister.

Jha's world was turned upside down during his trip when his best friend, Rusty Collins, disappeared. He had to help find him. He traveled to Siberia, where, after rescuing his friend, he encountered the legendary creature Lusud-Khan, the monster of Lake Baikal. He must place all his trust in the creature and the icy depths of the lake.

Jha traveled back to America with Rusty Collins. After a short visit with Cherie and the birth of her twins, Jha returned to Paris. Just when he thinks he has things sorted out, a shopping trip once again throws his life into chaos.
