Story
Since the beginning of time, humankind has pondered the meaning of life, the extension of life beyond this world, and the existence of a God or creator. The Hermetica is the second major work of the Ancient Egyptian philosopher Hermes Trismegistus, who is reported to have had an awakening during an extended period of meditation. During this awakening, Hermes, much like Jesus and Buddha later on, claims to have been exposed to the meaning of life, the presence of a world beyond this world, the existence of God, and the secret of our immortality.

Story
The Tao Te Ching is easily one of the most cherished and beloved spiritual works in existence. It is a short, to the point, truly non-denominational work that has been translated into English more times than any other work but the Christian Bible. Lao Tzu’s teachings have the potential to transform your existence, and even your understanding of existence. This translation is a modern, simplified interpretation. One that updates the ancient language to a more modern understanding, yet without touching the spirit of Lao Tzu’s timeless work, or altering his guidance.

Story
The history of the tablets translated in the following book is strange and beyond the belief of modern scientists. Their antiquity is stupendous, dating back some 36,000 years. The writer is Thoth, an Atlantean Priest-King, who founded a colony in ancient Egypt after the sinking of the mother country. He was the builder of the Great Pyramid of Giza, erroneously attributed to Cheops. In it he incorporated his knowledge of the ancient wisdom and also securely secreted records and instruments of ancient Atlantis.

Story
The Emerald Tablet of Hermes & Kybalion compose two pillars of Hermetic thought. Combined here in one volume, these two works share true wisdom with those ready to receive it. The Kybalion was first published anonymously in 1908 by “The Three Initiates.” The true authorship of the work is unknown, although theories suggest it was written entirely or in part by William Walker Atkinson. The Emerald Tablet of Hermes is a short, ancient text attributed to Hermes Trismegistus. The brief Emerald Tablet has been puzzling and fascinating scholars for over 1,000 years.

Story
Given the abundance of funerary artifacts that have been found within the sands of Egypt, it sometimes seems as though the Ancient Egyptians were more concerned with the matters of the afterlife than they were with matters of the life they experienced from day to day. This is underscored most prominently by the pyramids, which have captured the world’s imagination for centuries.

Publisher's Summary
The Emerald Tablet is an ancient Egyptian work written by Hermes Trismegistus that is believed to represent a step-by-step instruction manual for the alchemical process of turning ordinary metals like lead into something much more valuable, like gold. The manual consists of 14 cryptic, symbolic statements that many have tried to decipher over the course of thousands of years. I believe the 14 statements of the Emerald Tablet to be a symbolic guide to a far greater treasure than the conversion of lead into gold. I believe it to be, instead, a symbolic guide to the awakening of the human soul. I believe it to be a guide to the conversion of a base and petty human being into an awakened soul, the likes of which we have seen in the Jesuses and the Buddhas of our world. In the Christian Bible, it is said that Adam fell into a deep sleep. Nowhere in that Bible does it say that he woke back up. The purpose of the Emerald Tablet, I believe, is that very awakening.

Preachy for a guy denouncing religion
I was looking forward to a translation on the emerald tablet, not a denunciation of religion and how "evil" and "devisive" religion is. If I want a lecture on "devisiveness" I'll go to a modern college for free.

Intolerant? Surprised.
The premise of this author (apparently) is that folks are intolerant and divisive. I hear the paragraphs said to be the Emerald Tablets. Text of the tablets do not match the author's switch to something that cannot be cited. BUNK

Liking it! Very much!
Up to this book I had no exposure to Elmerald tablet context. Came to it through Jungs biography. Book speaks for itself and it is hard to express the inexpressible. To Matthew, I say thank you! Short, sweet and full of personal discoveries. Merely pointing to what we all already know but are afraid to whiteness.
