Forced into marriage with a man society calls cold, dangerous, and dishonourable, Sophia Edgerton steels herself for a loveless union. However, the aloof Earl of Stratton is not entirely a stranger—once, years ago, he was the boy who made her laugh beneath the spring blossoms...

Adrian Hawke, the Earl, never planned to wed without love, but family ruin and a clause in his father’s will have left him no choice. His new bride stirs a longing he cannot ignore, even though her guarded eyes and connection to his family’s past raise questions he cannot afford to leave unanswered…

When a hidden cache of documents hints at the truth behind Adrian’s brother’s mysterious death, Sophia and Adrian are drawn into a dangerous game of secrets and betrayal. Can two hearts bound by mistrust learn to stand together—or will the truth tear them apart forever?

The story was interesting enough but it’s a shame when the narration detracts from it. The narration could not decide on proper pronunciation of several words and switched back and forth pronouncing them. I highly criticize the misuse of proper pronounciation as we were thoroughly educated so in elementary school. It really is a shame and one can’t help but believe that the education of the children is left wanting.

Couldn't get past weird pronunciation and wooden delivery, which made it difficult to get into the story. Not for me.
