Publisher's summary

I believe in love. It just doesn’t believe in me. I date. I’m all for giving guys a chance. I’ve just never met the one. Until on a spring morning in the English countryside, a tall, dark stranger emerges from the mist.

Logan Steele is all tousled hair, hard chest, and lips so perfect I want to reach out and touch them, just to check they’re real. I’m sure that’s a thunderclap of chemistry I feel between us. Did I mention he’s an Earl with a self-made fortune? A billionaire who works tirelessly for charity? And he’s so hot, watching him is like staring at the sun. But like I said, love isn’t rooting for me.

When I find out Logan Steele is out to destroy everything I’ve dedicated my life to protect, the chemistry disappears and the hope that had blossomed my chest turns to rage. It no longer matters that he quickens my pulse just saying my name, weakens my knees with a single touch, and that he might just be the greatest kisser that ever lived. I might believe in love, but Logan Steele is definitely not the one.

A stand-alone romance.

For Harper and Max's story, listen to King of Wall Street.

For Scarlett and Ryder's story, listen to The Duke of Manhattan.

For Violet and Alexander's story, listen to The British Knight.

For Grace and Sam's story, listen to Park Avenue Prince.

positive outweighs the negative

I don’t know why they aren’t listed as part of a series, but if you want to read the linked stories in order: King of Wall Street; Park Avenue Prince; Duke of Manhattan; The British Knight; The Earl of London. This is the story of Darcy, sister of Ryder from Duke of Manhattan.
Love Shane East. Period. Wish he got to read more.
I’m sorry Imogen Church was chosen for this narration. Her pacing and emphasis often felt off for me. Her Logan voice made me cringe when it went higher instead of a lower pitch. The very distinct breathing should have been edited out.

Narrator

I did not care for the female narrator. I think Shane east does a very good job. I also don't think this was one of Louise Bay's better books

Story good, performance not so good.

Love the other books in this series, was looking forward to Darcy’s story. Love Shane East but not crazy about the female narrator. Took away from overall experience.

Great narration

5 star Review The Earl of London by Louise Bay

Logan Steele, just the name sent shivers up and down my spine; I have been waiting for Darcy Westbury’s story and couldn’t wait to dive in.

Where do I start? From chapter one I was hooked. Logan Steele is a rich, powerful, determined man; he gets what and who he wants, when he wants. When he buys as estate in a little village, Darcy becomes his neighbour and the sparks fly from there.

Both Darcy and Logan are independent and strong characters and I found them likeable and easy to relate to. Well to be honest, I have loved Darcy ever since she was first introduced way back, there was just something about the pairing of Logan and Darcy that drew me to them and their story.

The story was well written, engaging and it was great to see the dynamic between the two of them and there was so much to love about Ms.Bay’s characters. The chemistry between Logan and Darcy is off the charts even though neither want to admit to it.

Darcy makes me laugh, there is just so much humour in her and some of the best moments throughout the book are when she calls Logan on his attitude and behaviour. For these two to make a success as a couple there was plenty of give and take required from both Logan and Darcy as neither were “perfect”.

Ms.Bay wove a story that had me invested right from the start.

Read the Book

3.5 Stars. I a big fan of Louise Bay. I listened to the audio version and although I thoroughly enjoyed Shane East I struggles with the narration of Imogen Church. I had a hard time picturing a young twenty some year old listening to her voice. It made it hard for me to connect to the characters. This is one of those instances where I had wished I read the book. #GreatStory #QuestionableNarration #IndependentFemaleCharacter #Misunderstood #FeelGood #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Loved the story but.....

the audible version was hard to listen to because the pronunciation of the words by Imogene Church were over done and exaggerated. I love Louise Bay and will read whatever she writes because I’m a loyal fan but no more audio versions for me!

Loved the book, should have read myself

As this was the 5th book in the series i was anticipating another excellent love story and knew who the main character would be by process of elimination. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the female narrator who made Darcy sound so much older than she was and was not consistent throughout the book. Equally disturbing was her read of the American characters especially after having them narrated in previous books. I pushed through the painful reading because Shane East was superb as always and the novel by Bay was captivating. I can’t wait to check out some of her other collections next.

Enjoy the story!

Louise Bay books are fun and easy reading. Unfortunately the narrator Imogen Church made this book dreadful to listen, she made Darcy's voice childish not representing the character's personality.

Charming

This book has everything your looking for… intrigue, mystery and a happy ending even when you think it won’t. I love Shane East’s performance but Imogen Church’s interpretation of Darcy was a little off for me. She was portrayed as less than a confident woman and indecisive as in all of the other books and it just felt wrong. But I did enjoy the story and it did have a nice twist at the end.
