Needed to be a full length novel!

Cute, short story that begs to be a full novel. Too bad this was a short story. The characters were intriguing but due to the length of the book they could not be fully developed. It would have been great to have Gerald’s and Amelia’s story develop a bit more slowly. He was madly in love with his first wife but fell deeply in love with another only six months after her death. There are other things that needed to be answered but again no time. Anyway, it was a lovely story. I highly recommend.

A lovely short romance

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The characters were loveable, and I felt fully engaged in this story all the way through. It's a very sweet, clean romance, with a touch of drama.
The narrator did a very good job, making this a very enjoyable listen.
I would highly recommend it!

Lovely story

Great story. I enjoy a good second chance story. Set in the Regency era, this story did not disappoint.

Lovely Novella!

I liked this recording of this book. I thought the audio recording was better then the print copy of the book. I think the reason I liked it better is because the narrator did such a great job on the different characters' voices. It is a great 1st book in this series.

Charming story

I did not love the beginning of the book because it was quite sad. I just personally prefer to not have scenes like that in books I read. However, as the book continued I enjoyed seeing the love story between Amelia and the Duke unfold. Amelia is kind, loving, and bold. She is a good person who cares about others. There are some interesting characters (the Duke’s mother and Lady Rochester, for example). They add some humor to the story. A lot happens in this story, especially for it being a short story. I definitely didn’t get bored. I have been enjoying reading novellas lately, and this one was a cute read.

The story could have been longer. It was over so soon, I just had to listen to it again!

Clean regency romance

This was a delightful, quick read. I was hooked right from the start. I liked the characters and was happy with the ending. The narrator did a great job- her voice was soothing and the voices she did for all the characters was awesome.
