Eleanor Winslow has no interest in marriage, but when a chance encounter with Henry Ashford leads to an unexpected proposition, she sees a way out. If she pretends to court the Duke’s nephew, her family will be satisfied, and she can return to her music, free from society’s demands, free from the prospect of an unwanted courtship…

Henry needs Eleanor just as much, as a staged romance might mend his wounded pride and win back the woman who once rejected him. Their arrangement is simple: no feelings, no complications, and no risk of heartbreak.

Little did they know that stolen waltzes and lingering glances would soon make the rules impossible to follow. When Henry’s past love returns, will he realise the woman he truly wants is already by his side? And when Eleanor’s heart is on the line, will she dare to fight for a love she never expected?

This was my first novel by Abigail Agar and it has me downloading the rest. The author took the time to develop the plot without belaboring certain points or adding tedious fluff to lengthen the book. You could see the relationship between Eleanor and Henry blossoming in such an organic and pure way. I liked this one. The virtual voice was good too.

Well developed plot!
