A fun, sexy ride, but.....

I tried to love it but couldn't get past a few things. I wish Bronwyn's backstory fit her actions! She is a very capable spy despite having no training?? And she's very knowledgeable and good at many lewd (but fun and juicy😉) sex acts because she read a Gothic novel??? I love that she goes toe to toe with retired spy Thornbury, but out maneuvering him constantly was implausible. Her overtly sexual nature was both refreshing and unbelievable. A few extra paragraphs to make the puzzle pieces fit would have made all the difference.

The story was amazing!

I like the strong female lead and nonstop action. and it was well read. I loved the smart whit of the characters and their chemistry.

Enjoyed the series

Book 1 and 3 had the best narration. Enjoyed the entire series. Loved the characters and that the stories took place mostly outside of the usual London events.

Great book and narrator. The intrigue and ties into history are very clever. Wish there were more books in this series.

Absolutely spectacular

The characters were wonderful and the plot was such a departure from what is typically expected historical romance. I think this is my favorite read in years.

Great narrator rough story

The storyline makes no sense, the book has way more smut than feels necessary and most of which makes zero sense for a virgin lady of society to understand the nuance of. Everything from her background to how she's this incredible cross-continent spy the fact that she's apparently not that great of her brother knew and she's had a tail this whole time down to the final plot point none of which makes sense. This book doesn't feel like it was written with a clear idea in place, they came up with who's the bad guy, who's the good guy and lots of sex then they just kind of filled everything else in. I still finished it so that I could read the rest of the series, but I was actually quite disappointed in this one.
