Swoonworthy listening!

Taylor Hart!!! She can write a story that catches me from the first scene and keeps me til the very end. Shayla is a waitress and brings Scar Walker, 3rd string quarterback for the Texas Titans, his breakfast. He proceeds to tell her the eggs were made wrong, eats and leaves. That night, she calls a number left on one of her receipts, and who should it be but Scar? Their relationship from there grows. Hart created such likeable character with these two that I was sucked in and wanted to see how they would work out. Scar is chivalrous and nurturing while we see the young Shayla mature with her feelings. Hart always brings in a relevant theme to her books, and with Scar, he is helping his fellow vets. I loved this back story of service and brotherhood. Adding a hint of suspense also gives the story some depth and thrills.

James Fouhey is amazing with his performance of this book. This is the first time I have heard him narrate, and I love his voice. It's warm and smooth, giving the tough Scar Walker that sexy, rough exterior a teddy bear feel. He easily transformed his voice to Shayla with a believable female voice. I will definitely look for more listens by him.

So Cute!!

I loved this romance! There was not one sexy scene and I didn’t even miss it because this story is so sweet and loving it makes you all warm and fuzzy inside. I loved Scar and Shayla, they are perfect and adorable together! There was the perfect amount of humor and serious and both characters are strong and smart it makes this romance so realistic. The narration was really good! This was my first by James Fouhey and I think he did a fantastic job at bringing both characters to life! This is a super light and fun read I recommend it!

This is turning out to be such a sweet & clean romance series and its so refreshing. Scar is a wonder hero character you can't help but fall in love with him! And Shayla is the feisty red head who wants to do it on her own. When she call his number to see who it belongs to, slowly a new friendship forms into more. Scar soon turns into her go to hero! I love his nickname and hers, Kansas. It made their banter so much fun. Nice job on the narration.

If you are looking for a clean romance then you have found it! This book shows someone falling in love without the sex is possible and so sweet. The “code” word they use is absolutely adorable in this book, sorry can’t say any more without that spoiling part of the book. This was a nice, easy book to listen to and I will definitely be looking into more of them.

This book brought me to tears. It restores your faith in humanity. A injured navy seal Falls in love with a sweet girl from Kansas.

I liked the book a lot but...

I liked the book a lot but found that towards the last quarter of the book that he was a bit controlling. It drove me nuts. Let the woman make her own decisions snd give her time!

Dream Groom

This is a particularly good story. Scar is the perfect romantic hero and Shayla is the sweet midwestern dreamer. The bumps in their road, they face together. James Fouhey does excellent narration.

Beautiful Story!

This story is everything! This is exactly why I love Contemporary Romance: So much Love, not much drama, heartwarming scenes and a beautiful HEA. Scar and Shayla are really great together. Scar is a strong and protective man. Shayla is a strong woman with enough courage to pursue her dreams. Beautifully written, this story sits in San Diego and the scenery is so well described, that I want to visit it! The narration was really well done. James Fouhey has a very beautiful voice. I'm looking forward for more books written by this author and narrated by this narrator. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
