Reseñas de la Crítica
Had [John M. Ford] taken The Dragon Waiting and written a sequence of five books based in that world, with that power, he would've been George R.R. Martin
A thunderclap of a book, a thing of blood and magic
The best mingling of history with historical magic that I have ever seen
A wonderful kaleidoscope of the imagination
I read it with delight, wonder and fascination
A novel with something for just about everyone - panoramic history, vivid characters, and sweeping adventure
Much was vaguely implied, but not concluded. I shouldn't have to come up with half the book myself, or backtrack multiple times just confirm that yes, the story just did make a huge disontinuous jump.
There was of course some nice writing in there, but overall, I did not enjoy it very much.
Incoherent and vague
